I'd hate for him to decide to stay because he wouldn't get to play in the halves there.

BRISBANE is facing a long and potentially frustrating wait for Ben Barba and Anthony Milford as Canterbury and Canberra prepare to dig in their heels over their respective players.
Barba and Milford have both requested releases from their existing deals, but the Bulldogs and Raiders would need to play ball for them to join the Broncos.
Barba has another two years remaining on his deal with Canterbury while Milford has another season left on his contract with Canberra.
At this stage it is believed both clubs are ready to stand their ground. As a result, the pair could be forced to sit on the sidelines next season.
That would be a serious blow to the Broncos' hopes of a becoming a superpower again.
It is understood Milford's father, Halo, whose poor health has prompted the Canberra star to seek a release, is due to fly to the nation's capital this morning to catch up with his son.
It is unknown whether Halo also plans to meet Raiders powerbrokers as part of his trip. What is known is that the Raiders are in no hurry to grant Milford a release, even though he has a clause in his contract relating to family illness.
Barba has no such clause but has made it clear he would have no choice but to move to Brisbane should his estranged partner decide to relocate there with their two children. The Bulldogs' inability to sign a replacement - they pursued Israel Folau and Josh Dugan - means the club is reluctant to release Barba.
Barba will walk out of the club SBW style if they don't release him an Canberra will cave and let Milford go.
Bulldogs are looking at Beale.
Barba will be released no doubt, it's just a matter of the Dogs finding a fullback first which they will but none of this will happen till the off season.
IMO they'll both be Broncos next year but nothing will be announced until the season is done and dusted.
edit: should clarify that's Kurtley Beale. Who knows though, maybe Dragons will release Beale to the Dogs? With Dugan/nightingale/etc.
What's next? Barba visited a public toilet, joining the eels?
