Captaincy really weighed Thaiday down when he had it. Maybe the extra commitment just didn't suit him. I thought Hodges towards the end of the year was finally starting to step up as captain. I know he isn't the future, but maybe until we develop another leader.

I think any of those three would do a decent job, but for mine Hodges would be the best, followed closely by Parker then Thaiday. Using Hodges would be great - he's got oodles of experience at all levels of the game and seems to be a fair bit more mature these days. He's also the only one of the three who will be on the field for the whole 80 minutes (insert injury joke here).

Personally I hope Thaiday doesn't get it because I think it ways him down and his natural personality doesn't suit captaincy. There are different types of leadership and he can b a leader for the club without being 'the captain'. Guys like Thaiday are important to the team because they keep the mood light when it is needed, but you can't have your captain laughing and smiling after a loss which happened a lot when he was captain. Besides all that I just don't think he needs any added responsibility.

Out of Parker and Hodges I think both have there good and bad points. I agree with others that Parker can be maybe too abrasive and hodges is a bit of a hot head, but both would do a decent job. I actually don't care which one gets the gig because as far as I am concerned they are just keeping the sit warm for a year or two until Ben Hunt is ready to be our captain for the next 8 - 10 years

Haha I hope not. I'm obviously massively pro-Boyd but I think it would be a terrible look for someone that has just (re)joined the club to be handed the captaincy.

Although the meltdown that it would cause on here would be amazing

i've come 360 on boyd. hated the idea of signing him originally but i've come to accept it and I actually think now that he's had the time to get his head sorted and some help along the awy i think he might be in for a big season. quite looking forward to it now.

plus with all the broncos fan hate towards him and my love for an underdog i just want to see him prove the haters wrong. could be the big story of 2015.

Is there any point to having the rumour tags? We all know it's happening. We (well some of us) knew it was happening since the day Bennett signed. Plus Hodges confirmed it yesterday in that interview anyway.
