So I guess we want Canberra and the Titans to lose today?
Raiders are getting ****ing dusted by the Bulldogs.
We miss a lot of tackles, but we are lucky that the teams we have played so far are pretty inept at making the most out of their chances. We'll need to improve for the Doggies, and the Knights too for that matter. The problem is there is only 1 more simple game before them.
As a Gillett fan boy, I wince at those stats but have no argument. My only observation is that he seems to have steadied his game and focused a lot more in the last few weeks, and his defence is showing it. I just hope it continues.
While the individual missed tackles add up, the root causes are what worry me most: poor defensive line speed AND a broken line. Hayne showed what will happen to us when our defensive line is not straight with each man on man marking THE priority.
Mind you, Hoffa showed the Eels the same thing, but the song remains the same.
I just HATE it when players come in off their man and leave corridors. Our wingers - all of them, do it, and it has cost us games. The top 5 (and the Cowboys) would have destroyed us last night with the holes we left in the defensive line out wide.
If we don't focus, it will be the Cowboys who just might represent Qld in the 8
our back row all play 80 mins each and starting props 60+. its not a lack of stamina or fitness. its too many minutes with a lack of decent rotation. thaiday IS NOT an 80 minute player ffs. what is wrong with giving parker or gillet a bit of a break? why is mcguire being run into the ground? you know its going to happen. he's such a beast but we saw it last year he ran out of puff. maybe he wont.. hannant played 65 mins on friday, though he should be pretty fresh after missing so many games.
tasi 11 mins
jwallace 6 mins.
wallace didnt even have a run of the ball?
tasi made 3 runs for 35 metres. strong carries each time.
i dont get it
