Our chances of making the eight

I wonder what happened at the Roosters? Last year they were just a poop side. OK, so they made some great signings this year, but how did their defence improve so much? Maybe we can steal their defensive coach?

If the ads at the start of the year are anything to go by, its all thanks to SBW.

321 P/D, insane. Best attack, best defence.

This competition is really wide open.
Manly, Storm, Souths or Roosters are all a very real chance of winning with Cowboys and the dogs a possibility.

After 23 rounds I still can't confidently say who I think will win the comp, the finals series is going to be hugely exciting.

Will be even more exciting if the Broncos can sneak in, might even snag a win in the playoffs, realize it is all pretty fantastical but stranger things have happened.

roosters wont win it. their halves are still shit and will get found out once the big games arrive, as they did in SoO.

Crazy to think that the first and last games of the year might be the same teams. Also strange that that there is a high chance you would prefer to be fifth to fourth. Fifth will likely play cowboys or knights and fifth plays us. I'd say we have a 90-95% chance of playing finals footy if we win all our games. But minus Hodges it will be miraculous if we win our first game

Sometimes just a new voice and a few new faces can change a club around.

You only need to look at last few years to see Bulldogs 2009, Roosters 2010 and us in 2011. Went downhill pretty quickly after that initial first year though.

You could probably even include the Bulldogs from last year in that group. Though Des has a track record of producing consistent finals teams. The real test for Robinson will be next year as they maybe minus SBW as well as Mini and Kennedy.

So if Titans (playing Warriors at Skilled park) and Raiders (playing Manly at Canberra Stadium) both lose and Brisbane win, we will be in 8th spot after this weekend. If Newcastle lose (playing Cowboys at 1300 SMILES Stadium), we will be equal 7th with the Knights (25 points). Cowboys, Titans and Canberra will all be tied for 8th spot on 24 points. Fucking crazy to think this was even a possibility 4 weeks ago.

It all hinges on us winning this Friday night, though.

I will hope for a victory tomorrow night but truthfully , I'm expecting the worst. Penrith are at home, desperate and after the win over the Warriors, full of confidence. On top of that they have a skilful coach and if the usual happens ,will have the support of the NSWRL referees listening to the crowd. We can expect to receive fewer penalties. Added to the list is the hole left by Hodgos injury. I just can't see us overcoming all that but I will hope for the best. I want to be wrong.

Nah, I think we've got some good momentum going. I think we will win this one, not many points in it though.

I have given tonight's game an incredible amount of in depth analysis, player profile studies, form over the last 100 years and have concluded that the team who scores the most points will win this easily

I personally believe whoever concedes the least points will win, and I bet stats from teh last few years will back me up.

If it's anything like last year's match in round 26, it'll be whichever team sucks less.

It all hinges on which team turns up. If both teams turn up tonight, we've got a game on our hands..
