It's the flavour of the month. I seem to recall a number of similar articles when dce signed his long term contract. The reporters atm are asking leading questions regarding long term contracts which inevitably ends with the player saying he'd "love to lock up his future". It'll die down.FMD, can ridiculously long contract not become the norm? Desperate clubs...
My concern would be his mention of liking to extend again.
Titans are playing way to smart with their contracts what the **** happened to the shambles they were a couple years ago!!!
What will you have to talk about then?
Good for him if that's the case. All anybody from here wants for him is a successful career.
Apparently we are having a crack at mitch moses ! By the lurker that is
Yeah, he should be proclaiming his love for the Broncos while still in the beginning of a 2 year contract with the Titans.
Because someone forced him to say the things he did.....Yeah, he should be proclaiming his love for the Broncos while still in the beginning of a 2 year contract with the Titans.
He answered questions the way any other player under contract at a club would. Next...Because someone forced him to say the things he did.....

You mean like this:No, but he could say, "I'm just focusing on playing good footy at the moment and we'll cross that bridge when it comes to it."
Instead of, "I'd like to extend my deal."
Taylor wants to stay. Titans aren't going to **** up again like they did with Roberts.
The other part was in response to the 10 year deal, because no player would want that... right? The Titans could sign Taylor to a long-term deal before he becomes a free agent, killing off any chance of the Broncos luring him back to Red Hill as Hunt’s replacement.
“That’s in the club’s hands,” Taylor said. “At the moment I’m just focusing on playing footy.
“If it comes around, it will come around. Until then I’ve got to keep playing some good footy.’’

“The ultimate goal is to make sure you secure (the future), not only yourself, but your family as well. Being here is close to home. I’ve extended last year and I’d like to extend again.
Again, that was in reply to the 10 year extension idea. You're as bad as the journos, making up shit and taking things out of context to suit their interpretation. This is the quote:He could have just said that and left it at that. But he says this, as well.
This isn't just him telling people what they want to hear. He is expressing genuine interest to stay at the Titans for as long he can.
And we all know Titans want him.
He wants to stay at the Titans. He wants to help build a dynasty. It's going to take a monumental **** up, or a Hunt like deal (which won't happen), for the Broncos to get him.
At 22, Taylor could play at least another 10 years in the NRL and said it would be ideal to lock up his long-term future.
“That would be a dream, to lock yourself up at a club like that,” Taylor said.
“The ultimate goal is to make sure you secure (the future), not only yourself, but your family as well. Being here is close to home. I’ve extended last year and I’d like to extend again.
“There’s some massive deals being thrown around. Ben Hunt (six years at the Dragons), Taumalolo, Cherry-Evans got a massive deal.
“It’s starting to become a common thing these days to lock yourself up for a long time. That’s just the dream for any player.’’
