Our new halfback should be

Too much hate for Moga .
1 poor half of footy . Been solid other wise . Guy improves every week recently.

I dont see hate for Moga at all, he just hasn't been all that great.

For anyone hoping we sign Johnson, he just re-signed with the Warriors until the end of 2019.

Kodi played better against the Panthers. Building on all his performances, but who knows what his upper limit is. Hopefully still a lot higher. His kicking seems awful though

I agree. He has a bit of improvement to come, defence wise, but he is improving. I would love to see that blinding speed he had in those clips but I guess those days are gone. He was rushing up too much in the last game, but it was understandable, given the crazy nature of the Penrith attack. A bit more confidence in him setting his winger up, and we might see some of what's in those clips. He hasn't lost his size and you can't fault his work ethic.

Maybe Bennett is thinking he can replace oates on the wing when he moves to second row. That way we don't loose that big winger and bird slors into center.

Bennett has been working with him a lot on his defence. So I'm confident he'll be right in a couple of weeks

Ingesting thing about those cowboys clips was his ability to play both sides of the field equally as good. Like the way he carries it with two hands in front rather than just tucking it under the wing.

Definitely worth sticking with and I'm liking his play. Just needs to fix his defence

As long as he is working hard at training on his deficiencies and they are not so costly as to lose us games, I'm happy to persist. That's true of any of our players.
He looks like a hard worker, with some definite ability, but its obvious his confidence has been shot. That'll happen when not trusting your body, following injury, leads to poor form. If he keeps going though, as he has, he'll get there.

Hate may not be the right word but let's just assume it's a strong term that covers the posters on here who absolutely screamed their displeasure with Moga and Bennett being so blind and senile as to keep picking Moga. Dozens on here wanted him dropped, not good enough for reserves etc. There was a great deal of ' hate ' on this site.

I thought some of Moga's positioning was at times poor and I hope that improves. Perhaps Reed could help with some one on one coaching as he is still involved with the club.

His severe lack of speed is always going to be a major problem though. He isn't an attacking threat and opposition backs manage to get on his outside pretty easily. He has improved slightly the past two weeks but I still don't think that he is NRL quality.

If he's going to be Oates's replacement, he needs to catch and finish as well. The Rabbits game was another example of how good a finisher you need to win games

Kodi reminds me of hunt pre-2016 at the moment. He's not afraid to take on the line when he sees a gap (he's nimbler and quicker than hunt, but hunt is deceptively strong, far stronger than Niko), has a great short ball, but shares the same downsides in terms of kicking and game management.

I thought Kodi's vision to give Roberts the ball for that 80m try was unappreciated. He's showing fantastic vision for a 22 half. I do think Kodi has a higher ceiling due to his age and coach (Wayne for Kodi vs Hook for Hunt. No contest). He's getting better every game.

TL;DR I wouldn't be downtrodden if we had Kodi starting next year, whether that be at HB or 5/8 if Milf were to elect to end his career early and take the cash at some basket case club.

I wouldn't call it a severe lack of speed...he's just really slow off the mark. I think the fact that he looks like he could run a lot faster but doesn't plays into that. He's got a fairly good stride I would say.

Compared to reed ??? Is there anyone who actually knows his sprint times ? Would be good to have something to go by .

Again you are comparing him to a guy who chiselled out a decent NRL career. I would take a busted Reed over Moga any day. You can start making comparisons when/if Moga plays 6/7 years of regular first grade.

Slow off the mark is a terrible trait for a first grade centre. He reminds me of Kaine Manihera, they both have/had the same deficiencies.
