Our new halfback should be

not a chance mate unfortunately.

the head recruitment man there used to be laybutt's manager, and they have stamped laybutt as thurstons long term successor. he will be in the 7 jersey for the cows long term. the cowboys head recruitment bloke is dam good, i doubt they will slide too far if at all.

We'll have to disagree about the slide.

Without Thurston the rest of the team isn't that good.

2019 they won't make the semis.

please tell me why?

they will have taumalolo, hess, lowe as there back 3 in the pack. scotty will be nearing the end but still a quality front rower. they have just signed jordan mclean who gets better every week and was just selecyed as a back up for aus. they also have an 18yr old hooker who could be anything as well so gove him a few years as back up. there pack will be as good as ever if not better.

dont be surprised to see ponga back there in 3 years tike too.

Because I think that Thurston's influence over them is that big.

Have a look at their record without him.

Are there any other junior halves you would look at signing to play in the halves next to Milford?

thats a valid point no doubt, but i think there succession plan is pretty good. im not saying they will be a premiership force instantly but one thing they will have is an enormous amount in their cap once jt goes to buy some quality if required

Oh and I don't doubt that you could be right too.

I look at the cows like us after locky.

Hard to replace.

im really not sure, milf may continue on his way and develop into the man required.
maybe gerone burns could improve and play a role at the club, the nrl is madness so you just never know.
for me i would watch young bambling very closely, he was an outstanding junior with a hell of a kicking game. he is a great organiser and a ridiculously fierce competitor.

yeah absolutely, jt will be an immortal no doubt so nearly impossible to replace him - same as locky. hence why a succession plan is so important.

lesser clubs than the broncs/cows/chooks/dogs will traditionally struggle with these types of transitions. there is no doubt the front office has to be on top of there game to ensure a mammoth slide doesnt happen.
the poorly run clubs are clear evidence of miserable planning

Do you rate guys like Cory Paix or Tanah Boyd? Are there any other quality young guys the Broncos have locked up?

paix is real good, he is a thick set bugger for a half.
boyd has always been flashy and very good but im not sure about him, he doesnt like the dirty stuff and does play for himself a little bit. which could change over time.
if i had to pick either i would go with paix.
we have too many on the books to know these days.

Just watching the replay of the Mal Meninga Cup Final and Paix looks the good for sure.
