My understanding is that we are hoping to get Taylor but we'll settle for Elgey if we don't get Taylor.

Personally I think that Elgey is the better of the two - long term.

he played wide bay in his junior days and went to the dogs to start with after the schoolboy carnival that year in maroochydore, but for what ever reason came back home. signed with the cows when he was ready to go again and make a fist of it, smart move from the kid. too many young lads leave home way to early.

Yes, difference is we are actively looking for a halfback. If they have earmarked Laybutt to take over from JT and he is such a wonderful
player that they won't experience a slide, it seems pretty odd that they would be chasing guys like Elgey and Mbye.
