If Canada beat Colombia, Matildas will need Spain to flog Brazil and Japan to beat Nigeria.

Let's say Matildas lose 2-0 against USA. They will need Spain to have beaten Brazil 4-0.

Spain are already through so they don't have the motivation to win this game.

That's why I said earlier the simplest way for Matildas to advance if they lose against the US is for Colombia to beat Canada or draw with them at the very least.

So we're in the final 10 in the Spain vs Brazil game and Spain are leading 1-0.

So Matildas definitely need Canada to draw or lose and France to beat NZ to advance if they lose against US.

I would love for Matildas to beat the US or nab a draw, but I just can't see it happening.
