All 3 expected but that’s often when it is hardest to deliver. All three owned it.

Australia sits third on the medal table. Not sure how many more events they are outright favourite in but certainly many more in contention including women’s high jump, women’s 1500m running, about four sailing classes, a couple of rowing events and always possible with Jess Fox. Still a few swimming events as well that could come up gold. Some team events are looking promising too. Obviously the men’s doubles go for gold in tennis.

After that horror crash in Tokyo, the demons she would have had in her head especially after what happened to her brother, it could have easily ruined her career. She didn't let it break her though and she now has the gold she was on her way to win in Tokyo.

Agreed. Have to say I welled up watching her win. Love theses stories of adversity and resilience.

Willoughby for the US too in the bmx, well past her best but kudos to her and her husband. He’s paralysed from bmx and trains her - that would remind you every day how badly that sport can go wrong and yet she keeps going. Kudos to anyone brave enough to get out there and compete.
