Like I said mate, left field thought. But, Bennett does have form with dumping captains.

Anyway, just for thought, we're 6-2 without Hodgo and 4-8 with him in. We score 20 points per game with him and 26 without (on average). Our average losing margin is 7.6.

I respect Hodgeo as much as the next Broncos supporter, but I was wary of resigning him before this season even started. It's one thing to have to put up with his injuries, it's another thing entirely to put up with him throwing the entire teams rhythm out of sync. You can't let that happen in the modern game.

Copley is young, and still doesn't have his best position (centre) locked down. Maybe in a few years, but for now let him worry about his own development.

Hodges? He's the only player who has made me want to watch our games every week since the mid 2000's. No matter how long our odds, he could pull a win out of his arse. Even as late as last year he won us games that seemed lost with 2 minutes to go. This year, he's lost most of his step and has been relying on cunning. But the opposition knows it, they no longer scream Hodgo when he goes for a scoot. He's as likely to make an error as he is to milk a penalty. With Copley developing well, and decent depth with Maranta, Vidot, Kahu, arguably Oates & Drew, he needs to do what's best for the team.

This is exactly how I feel. I find it hard to post it because Hodgo has been one of my favourite players for so long, but I think it is best for everyone if he takes one for the team... **** I hate saying that though

If Hunt re-signs, then stick the (c) next to him. He already is the on field leader and plays 80 minutes. Plus he is young so you get a captain for the next 6-7 years minimum.
