Parker and Slater MAY miss Origin 3 - who to move where?

I know it's his last game, but I'd like Civo to start from the bench. Have him come on when the heavy collisions ease up a bit, maybe it'll allow him to recover from tackles and play the ball quicker.

Nothing wrong with that all. Shillington to start with Scott.

Some fans want Matthew Bowen to recieve a recall. Doubt it it will come down to Inglis or Boyd.

This is the side I'd come up with. I'm under the assumption of Thaiday fit but Parker and Slater unfit.

1. Inglis
2. Tate
3. Hodges
4. Nielsen
5. Boyd
6. Thurston
7. Cronk
8. Scott
9. Smith
10. Civoniceva
11. Myles
12. Thaiday
13. Harrison
------------------------
14. Hannant
15. Shillington
16. McGuire
17. Te'o
Yeah a few too many changes but I'd say that's our strongest side.

Not sure about cutting both Taylor and Gillett. One of them, for sure. I still think Taylor has the potential to be a game breaker right now, so I'd persevere with him. Te'o in for Gillett, who's had a taste but probably needs another year to refine his game. He seems like he's not sure of his own identity out there right now. Problem with being so versatile.

Agree with Coxy, we need one of Taylor and Gillett still, and as bad as Taylor was, Gillett offers less value right now. His club form isn't great and he hasn't done anything in Origin to deserve that much loyalty.

Also, I have to say, as epic as Josh McGuire has been recently, and as good as I think he will go in Origin, I think that Sam Kasiano would make a greater immediate impact on debut. He has a killer offload and hits the line a bit harder. McGuire's value is in playing great for 60mins, and you wouldn't get that value in Origin yet. Not that I expect either to play.

Yep, agree 100%.

So I agree with Jeb's team (although Nielsen's lack of ability in attack concerns me), but sub Taylor for McGuire.

And I can live with that as well. Only makes 1 unforced change so that'd work well I think.

Yep, I think minimal changes are the key. My problem with Taylor and Gillett both in the team is they should both be doing the same role and there's no real need for both in the 17, especially when Thaiday can and should be doing it too.

What odds would I get if I wanted to back Copley as a bolter on the wing?

Very long odds. I think he's doing a very good job for the Broncos, but he's way off Origin ready.

It's only been like 4 weeks since Copley has shown anything at NRL level, before that he was still Dropley.

GI to FB, Taylor left centre, teo in for Gillette.

Sorted:)

Fail Dropley was his name in our area of Suncorp :P One of Aeetee's finest calls.

You could probably name your price. Bolters aren't really a QLD thing to do when someone like Nielsen is around. And even if there were a bolter, I'd have thought Moga would be way ahead of Copley.

Not sure Kasiano has committed to Qld yet

But he hasn't not committed, so I don't think that would be a problem. Pretty sure if Mal said "Sam, come play in the decider" he'd decide on the spot. Not that I think that'll happen, but I still have him ahead of McGuire for this year at least.

I question Kasiano's work rate though. I don't see any point in bringing him in to replace Taylor as they are pretty similar. The only positive is that Kasiano *might* not look like a rabbit in the headlights like Taylor does in Origin.
