Like, c'mon, talk about clickbait. The thought barely crossed his mind, and he gives no direct reason "why" other than it is a literal thought anyone has regarding a career.
Imagine a YT video on a bricky or chippy saying "Why this chippy thought about working for a different company".

Low maintenance, no trouble, good player and a good bloke. Said it before, we have better players than him, but i dont think we have a better Brisbane Bronco than him.

He's in the running for back to back Wally Lewis medals. If we go deep into the finals I think he'll pass less and run more like he does in Origin.

The key for him is to learn when to do either of these things to maximum effect. It's what makes Yeo so damaging for the panthers - he is not just a battering ram forward, he can play with the ball a bit too - this leaves defenders with choices to make and not just running up and 3 manning him. They give him a bit more space and thus he can grab an extra few meters before that 3rd defender is on him.
There were a number of times when the NSW line stalled when Patty got the ball, not knowing if he was going to pass to another forward or hit the line himself until he took a few steps. That's easy yardage. If he can get better at the draw and pass, we'll see him put the likes of Haas into 1:1 situations more often which will cause the opposition real problems. This is the value of a guy like Patty where his ability beyond the physical brings a lot of value to the table. He's only 25 too, so his best years are hopefully still infront of him.
Add to this he seems like an absolutely top bloke, sets a great example for our kids and a future Bronco captain to boot, so happy he's ours for likely his entire career.
