It's the fans' game. Without the fans paying for merch, attending games, buying subscriptions to Fox/Kayo, participating in forums like BHQ etc. the game is nothing.
Without the fans it would be essentially a group of elite athletes playing a game of footy in their spare time while they do a normal 9 to 5 job to support themselves and their families.
Without the fans it's a simple game of footy down the park.
The way Haas has disrespected the Bronco fan base is extremely disappointing. I don't think anything he does from here on in will ever repair his relationship with many of Broncos' supporters. My mates in Sydney (Penrith & St. George) and my mate in Canberra (Raiders) all agree his management team are riding roughshod over the idea of binding contract and it needs to be stamped out.
His time playing for this great club is limited. It's even more limited depending on the outcome of the next few days negotiations. Regardless of the outcome, his name will always carry a stain in Brisbane and it is quickly looking like the rest of the NRL world too.
