Pearson - What Took So Long?

I'm rating Roberts less and less. He has no idea how to play for his winger. Wouldn't mind Kahu and Pearson together at some point on the right though.

I think our full strength team will be Kahu in the centers with Pearson in the wing... Although I can't shake the feeling that Kahu will be gone... Someone asked Chris Garry about Pearson the other day and his response was something along the lines of 'Pearson will be first choice next season'

Also I will be fucking furious if we let Pearson go to keep Reed and fucking Maranta

We won't let Pearson go.

Bennett rates him highly and says he has a future at the Broncos.

He isn't letting him go.

Looks like we have a quality winger on our hands.

He'd much prefer to be preparing to run out onto ANZ Stadium for Sunday's NRL grand final but Bronco Jonus Pearson isn't too disappointed, instead using his time off to plan for a huge off-season that will cement his position on Brisbane's wing.

Pearson played three games for the Broncos in 2016, scoring two tries before Brisbane were knocked out by the North Queensland Cowboys in their semi-final in Townsville.
Although he's only had a small taste of the NRL, the 21-year-old's quick pace and memorising footwork have helped him quickly become a fan favourite.
Next season now looms as a breakout year for Pearson following the retirement of English international Jack Reed at the end of 2016.
Reed has retired due to a chronic shoulder injury, leaving a vacant spot in Brisbane's backline that Pearson wants to make his own.
"I'm going to have a big pre-season. I'm going to work my ass off and do whatever it takes to cement my position on Brisbane's right wing," Pearson said.
"It has been a huge highlight to have a crack at the NRL and now I want more.
"Obviously I'm unsure if I'll start come Round 1 next year, but I'll be doing everything in my power to make sure it happens.
"I'm happy with how 2016 has panned out so hopefully more of the same continues in 2017."
The Redcliffe Dolphin played in Sunday's Intrust Super Cup Grand Final, with his side losing 26-16 to the Burleigh Bears in a thrilling contest at Suncorp Stadium.
Pearson scored a try and was prominent throughout the match, bringing the ball back with gusto and making plenty of run metres for his side.
The Dolphins are an affiliate club of the Broncos, with fellow Brisbane teammates Tom Opacic, Aaron Whitchurch and Darren Nicholls all playing for the club.
Redcliffe may not have won the Queensland Cup title on Sunday, but Pearson took time to thank the Dolphins and the Broncos for giving him an opportunity to prove himself.
"It has been a huge honour to play for Redcliffe and the Broncos," Pearson told NRL.com.
"I have to thank Brisbane for letting me play in the Intrust Super Cup Grand Final after the Broncos were knocked out of the NRL.
"Putting the Redcliffe jersey on for a grand final is a massive honour.
"Great players such as Petero Civoniceva and Dane Gagai have worn the Dolphins' jersey before me so it's quite humbling to play for this club."
