Peter Wallace!!!

I give up. Clearly nobody here understands that as a senior, high paid player, Wallace has a responsibility to lift when the others are struggling and he is failing to do so. Not it doesn't absolve the others from playing poorly, but they have the excuse of being inexperienced.

Perhaps some more responsibility should fall on Parker's shoulders as captain in the Tigers game for not pulling both Wallace and Norman aside and telling them to lift their games?

What about Locky in the Panthers game?

The thing I don't get is that Wallace didn't play any worse against the Tigers than he did against Souths, he was even "responsible" for a try against us in both games, but yet he's crucified on the game we lost, although I suspect the way we lost may have quite a bit of influence. eusa_think

If you have a chance, watch both games again with a cool head like I did. The difference WAS NOT Wallace!

Oh please, if you think he played "as bad" against Souths as he did against the Tigers you're kidding yourself.

with how much possession we had against the tigers in their half, we shouldve won by 20. but when we were there, our attack had no direction, no plays going on, and we generally looked like a ship without a rudder.

the halfback is supposed to be that rudder.

This thread STILL hasn't died.
Poor Wallace, he's had to put up with two weeks of bagging instead of one because of the bye, lol.

I am sure Pirate Pete is keeping track of this thread...

FTR, I think Wallace is a very average player that is playing below his average best.

Yup. He was shit. But given his form in the past 3 months has been electric I can forgive a bad one.

Scott Prince is going to bend him over and absolutely annihilate him against the Titans. So hopefully he's used to being bagged, because he has at least another week of it.

I'm going to make a promise right now. I will not say anything further about Wallace this season, unless he plays very well in which case I will give him due credit.

My views on his performances for the Broncos are clear and understood. I will leave it at that.

Coming from the man who thinks Thurston was overrated that is a bit rich.....

He was over-rated in 2008....

No. He wasn't.

He was not a halfback in 2008. And he's still not a halfback now.

Now is when i wish Wallace was Dutch..

Hmmm, I didn't think Thurston deserved the halfback spot above Princey for Australia so Rocky does have a point.

Then again, Lockyer didn't deserve a look in altogether that year.

I give up as well. Nah, stuff it, I will keep going.

I have acknowledged in this thread that Wallace could've done more than he did, but clearly the fact that he did SOMETHING, is better than the others doing NOTHING, despite who is the senior player.

It's more than that though. Against the Tigers he was better than good in my opinion and in the opinion of plenty others but we lost narrowly because our best attacking weapons were all missing on the night.
