Saw Gagai play in the u20s against Penrith last week and, deadset, on every kick return he beat at least two defenders each time.

He's got a fantastic running style, was just shaking tacklers off, similar to Hodges.
Yea, he makes so many metres and tackle busts. Take a look at some of his stats on NRL.com. He made ridiculous amounts of tackle busts and metres week after week.

Interesting. Possible future centre?

100% imo. We need to keep him around and get him ready for when Hodges "Retires"

Don't quote me on this because I haven't really seen a lot from him but from what I know he has only excelled at fullback. He is young and with some experience with the first grade side that could change though.

At the moment I see Copley and Glenn(not long term though) as our future centre options.

If we want Gagai to be a centre we need to play him there now... He could probably play any backline position at a pinch.

What does everybody think of a Yow Yeh and Gagai combo on the wings next year? Gagai can also do the kicking duties!
I don't know who Gagai is or how good he "may be" but I would rather Kemp.
If you don't know who he is, or how good he may be, how can you prefer Kemp over him?? That makes no sense.
I don't need to know how good he is. I know Kemp if he re finds his form is a very good winger who has been tried and tested.

I guess I'm not the sort of fan who always pins hope on future kids until I see how they actually perform in first grade, Gagai could very well be a dud in first grade, some players you will never know till you see them. He'll get a go sometime next year if we have injuries or during origin period but I would rather go with a experienced player who has proven himself then with another rookie when we already have enough of them in the team.

I'm not having a go at Gagai either, if he is as good as you all are saying then power to him, the coach will see it and put him in.

Gagai IMO needs to spend next season in Qcup filling in for us during Origin and when we have an injury.

Copely "should" get the other centre spot for next season.

[icon_lol1. No offence, but that seriously still makes no sense at all. You don't need to know how good someone is to prefer someone over him?

Kemp is awesome!! He will be on the wing before seasons end!

Settle down Beads, I'm not saying he's not! Well, not in that post I'm not....Just saying that it's a little hard to make a decision between 2 things when you know nothing about 1 of them.

I know, SPWN can't help it he has no idea.. Gagai will most likely turn out to be a gun but isn't a winger... Kemp on the other hand WOW!! [icon_lol1.

Kemp is a PROVEN first grader who has shown he is top quality. Gagai has not proven anything, I would take someone who is proven quality first.

I'm not saying Gagai shouldn't get a go but Kemp should get first go.

I'm going round and round in circles, and I'm getting dizzy so I think I'll hop off the merry go round.

lol, call me old fashioned but I prefer to give proven experienced first graders a go first, if they fail drop them.
I could be blinded by my love for Kemp, I'm a massive fan of the guy [icon_wink

Point is, Gagai needs time so that he can take over for when Hodges retires. 2012 i predict
