As above, Gallen hasn't really done anything off field, besides pissing in public, wow big deal. I betcha 80%+ of NRL players(and 80%+ of the male population for that matter) have done it but just haven't been caught.
Is he a grub on field? Who cares, if it's legal and it helps the team I'm all for it, if it's against the rules he'll be punished / suspended. No worse than Hodges on field.

Is there any quotes from Gallen saying he is unhappy?

Nick Kenny won the courier mail "good guy of the month award" does pissing in public make him a person we wouldn't want at the club?

I would be delighted if he came, he would be one of the only backrowers who could actually intimidate opposition packs, atm our current crop are either average at best or inconsistent. With exception to Thaiday who is a very good player and Parker is the clean up guy, mix that with Gallen and we have a great combination there of toughness, skill and defence. Also buy getting Gallen suddenly there is serious competition for backrow positions.

Setu is way too inconsistent and Teo is a joke with exception to a few games where he actually plays well, laughing after a record loss as well, great commitment. The only way I'd be happy if we didn't get Gallen was if Glenn was looked at to play in the back row.

Players have responsibilities on and off the field to deliver the best public image for their club that they can, pissing in public is hardly delivering the positive strong image for your club that is required to ensure that the club and the game ensure they are at their strongest in many areas, take sponsers for example and the financial need for their support. You may think the offence is minor but the damage it can do to the game and clubs requires clubs and the game to be hard on these offences.

As for being a grub on the field he goes beyond that, Hodges can be one at times yes but I haven't heard racist slurs from him nor attacking another player's stitching during a game, I can handle a player being aggressive on the field but even that has its limits.

I've seen him on tv being interviewed saying that he is unhappy with the way he has been treated by the club.

Comparing Gallen and Hodges is laughable. Hodges sledges and gets under the skin of the opposition, Gallen is a cheap shot merchant and a grub. I'm not saying he isn't a decent player, when he cuts out the bullshit he is a good back rower. But on top of me not wanting him here because of him being a grubby bastard, he really isn't needed. The backrow is one area we really don't need to worry about at the moment IMO.

Heard from my Brother who heard on the Sharks forum that he has just re-signed with the Sharks, don't know how true it is or not. As far as I'm concerned I'm quite happy about that. I don't want him here.

Gallen isn't your regular coconut backrower like we have a bunch of, he makes MASSIVE metres. Was he not getting 180 or so metres a game near the end of the season?
