Yes Hunt is someone i talk to on occasions. However have not spoken to him in about a month.

But with the dogs saying "We would consider a trade" the dogs about 2 weeks ago "Chasing Hunt" brisbane saying "we would not sign him if there was a fee involved"... Ivan saying in the weekends paper that Norman could follow Lockyer by moving into the halves...

It all falls into place.

I think you might be onto something there, detective. Do you think Stagg could also be part of the deal? Hunt is a halfback after all.. much more valuable.

Surely he is a depreciating asset though. Hunt is going to be an Australian player. Sonny Bill Williams will never play for Australia. So I think Hunt is worth more.

That would mean that we're fairly confident in Tim Smith then wouldn't it ? I mean, if Hunt goes ... who'll be our long term halfback down the track ??

In regards to Hannant, i am confident we will see him in Broncos colors within the next month.

We saved almost $50k off this years salary cap with Hodges being out injured. Hannant will get this.

Since when do injuries get discounts from the salary cap? Quite the opposite actually if a player outside the top25 has to cover for injuries the club has to spend extra cash and exceed the salary cap if they're close to the limit.

It has come in this year. It is worth aprox $2K per game.

Now that I have finished being silly, re SBW, no way, and in particular if we have to compensate the dogs for him as well. Re Hannant, I have been on the bandwagon for ages that we need depth in the prop department, so I would be ok with him coming back, but I disagree with broncospwn that we should pay overs for him. If he wants to come back because of homesickness or whatever the personal issue is, I think he has to be more flexible about his price. If we have to trade a player for him, it should be a backrower or a back rather than one of our props or potential props.

This is purely my thoughts. I started the "Hunt for SBW" as i think it could be on the cards looking at whats happened between the Dogs and the Broncos.

I wouldn't give up Ben Hunt for either Hannant or SBW, I don't think we should give up our halves depth. In fact, I wouldn't give up any player for SBW.
