Superb news, I'd prefer to watch our young props develop than have Hannant back.

Don't know if I am pissed off or happy about that. In a way it would be awesome to have someone of his calibre back but he has left the club twice already so that's annoying. But I would rather sign Petero for his last yr, bit of a forward leader to help mentor the young blokes like Dodds, Hala and McGuire.

I reckon we're mad not going after Hannant. It's not like we'd have to match the Bulldogs offer, and he would add some much needed depth to our pack. I remember last year everyone here was desperate for us to sign a good front rower. Now that one appears to have become available nobody wants him?? What's happened there??

I reckon we're mad not going after Hannant. It's not like we'd have to match the Bulldogs offer, and he would add some much needed depth to our pack. I remember last year everyone here was desperate for us to sign a good front rower. Now that one appears to have become available nobody wants him?? What's happened there??

dogs want a player swap for there 'generosity', broncos understandably said no... hannant wants out, he should compensate them, not us...

Exactly Jeb - all this talk of not wanting Hannant is crazy IMO. So he got offered more money at another job and took it. Most of us would all do the same. Now he realises living in Sydney is not for him and wants to come back home. I went through the same thing a few years ago when I accepted a job in Sydney and I hated every minute of it, the second my first 12 month contract was up I couldn't get back here quick enough. And yes I went back to the job I had left here in Brissie. It is time everyone realised that playing footy is a job for the players and a business for the clubs. There is very little difference between them and us (except the size of the pay packets and the limited lifetime of a footy player's career).

And people talk about "all the stuff he went on with when he left". Well I don't remember Hannant carrying on in any kind of bad way. Hodges carried on much worse when he left to go to the Roosters and most people here are creaming themselves over him and wouldn't dream of not having him at the Broncos.

but he had already been in Sydney once before and been Home sick so why do it again.. Just stupid IMO. I am sure if he does end up at Red Hill he will be supported by mose people here anyway.

Put yourself in his shoes - you have a wife and 3 young kids (I think it was 3, more than 1 anyway) and you get a very generous offer for a job at a rival company. The deal is worth around an extra $100000 above what you get if you stick with your current employer. Of course you would take the bigger offer. He took it, had the full support of his family, and now they have realised that they were happier in Queensland. I don't see anything bad in "all the stuff he went on with when he left".

If the Dogs were to drop the player swap demand then I'm sure the Broncos would be interested. Seems silly to turn down the chance of getting a young but experienced representative level prop because you don't want to deal with the "hoopla". He'd be on the open market for 2012 anyway.

Titans need him more than we do IMO. They've always had depth issues when it comes to props and Bailey doesn't have much mileage left.

Absolute Rubbish. I don't know if you've read his latest article but it basically says he's coming back (from his mouth that is) now because now he can get the same pay but in QLD.

If he couldn't get the same pay in QLD he would stay their. He's a lyer and a wanker, please don't go near him Broncos.
