POST MORTEM. Cowboys Broncs Grand Final.

It should be extra time, 5 mins each half.

The team who scores the most points in those 10 mins wins the game.

Not this shit of kick a field goal & the game is over.

I'm absolutely fucking devastated.

Too devastated to really comment at the moment.

Hope this doesn't break, but rather makes Ben Hunt, but **** the game plan and the kicking for goal when we're up 14-12, to use the "bus defense" tactic from then onward...

****, tomorrow is going to be a long drive back. :tsk:

I'm just getting by with the thought that we'll have a better team next year and with the same attitude we'll be at the Gf again.

Congratulations to the Cowboys. It's tough to say but they deserved the win because they actually went for the win. They weren't content with rubbish kicks for touch trying to preserve a slender lead. Seriously, our game plan in the second half WTF?!?

JT deserves every accolade he gets. They took their chances while we squandered ours.

I'll post more this week but JT deserves this. Sucks but it's true right now.

I'm really not happy about this. We couldn't buy a penalty tonight and just like Darius Boyd, all I could do was laugh. The laughing was made easier by us being ahead. That was almost excusable but Coote dropping a fucking elbow and Tamou's massive swinging arm is not.

That game was nothing like our previous finals game. I guess it proves the wrestle is still good in 2015. Maybe if we complain about a conspiracy long enough they'll hand us a premiership too. Fucking NRL, you have such a good thing. Try not to **** it up too badly.

7/7 doesn't sell as well as JT and their first premiership.

I didnt read through the whole thread but I have enough faith in this forum to believe I'm not saying anything that hasn't already been said.

It was an amazing grand final despite the result. Who, at the start of the season, ever expected us to make it to the GF? What a fucking turn around.

Yeah Hunt dropped the ball that resulted in the set that ultimately lost us the game but if Oates stays on his wing the try never happens. if Boyd is better positioned to make the cover tackle, the try doesnt happen. If our defence doesn't let Thurston break out of two tackles the try doesn't happen. If Thurston doesn't shit his pants and botch the conversion, we lose in regular time and Hunt doesn't need to catch the kick off. The point is, its unfair to blame the loss on one player. Especially when he's been such a stand out for us this season.

Hodgo leaving is heart breaking and I want to wish him the best and thank him for his God like service.

How fucking good is young Milford, and how about the performance from Blair.

Very proud of the boys, despite the obviously disappointing result. Can't wait until next season.

Where we were sitting we were all screaming at the lack of policing the ruck. Every second tackle was a leg pull or some other bullshit.

You wasn't in section 611 was you?lol everone around me, including myself, was screaming at the ref every fucking play just about. It seems like that had 10 seconds to lay on us every play the ball.

Seems like a few BHQers were in there.

I was in Row 17, Dex was Row 2. Unfortunately didn't get a chance to meet Dex but recognised a few familiar faces in Twitter.

I was in row 22 lost most of my voice due to yelling lol was giving it to Thurston big time when he was taking 15 mins to take his last conversation

Blair was incredible. Ye he has been an absolute freakin gun this year, fingers crossed the coaching staff can keep him motivated.

This time next year seems sooooo far away though :)

He also had the ball stripped off him by Feldt with a minute to go after Milford made the break.
Yesss this was the most vital one out them all. Had he hung on.. Wouldve had the ball to boot it out. Slow it down to pack scrum with probably 30 seconds left of the game

I can't back those blaming Hunt. Yes, he fucked up. He did not lose us the game.

The spear - yes, silly, but it's how he tackles - around the waist and chops them down. Inspiring when it goes right. I can't hold him to blame for that. And Milf's break in our set afterwards to give us outstanding field position when we were trapped in our half actually negated the spear penalty, so it was no issue.

And Thurston got out of two tackles on that last play. Blame the tacklers, idk who they are right now and I'm in no mood to watch replays. Then Oates comes off his wing onto the inside man who was well covered, leaving the corner open. Our left side defence was what lost us that game, and it's been an issue all year. It let in the only Roosters tries last week. And it lost us the game this week. Reed was busted, didn't help. But they had NO RIGHT to score the equaliser. We had them covered in the middle of the paddock but Thurston got away. We had them covered outside but Oates came in. THAT is what lost us the game.

We were never going to win once it hit golden point. Hunt is not to blame, though I understand why people want a scapegoat. I'd suggest pointing it at the missed tackles and Oates on the wing - which would also probably be unfair. As a team we were below our best, I don't think scapegoating is fair after that. We just weren't good enough.
Yea I truly believe we were kinda off our game despite being on top for the majority of our game. We had no set plays going as both our tries came off broken play. [emoji30]
