If it were to happen, it’ll be a stampede on the pitch & burn down of The team bus. They’ll have to swim back to Cliff through Brisbane River.I hope he doesn't target Reynolds.

We’ve been playing Melbourne for years and haven’t been too worried about Felise. I don’t think anyone is going to start worrying now. If anything, this is a desperate look from the Dolphins. Like it’s fucking round 4 and they are desperately trying to get him off like it’s the GF. I hope the boys are preparing like they will for any other game this season.
It was Riki for a shoulder charge. He didn't wrap the arms. Just watched it back.still trying to figure out what flegler or riki as someone pointed out was penalized for i still think it was flegs tackling to hard lol
Keep him on ice for this game or play cup.Let’s say Hetherington is fit, do you bring him straight back in or give him a Cup game?
I want to make it clear that I absolutely hate agreeing with Wolfie...
However the Suaalii hit was just as bad if not worse than the Kaufusi hit.
You could make the case that Kaufusi could not reasonably pull out of the contact at the point Hastings releases the ball. Whereas, Suaalii is standing flat footed and doesn't initiate the tackle until the pass is made. It's only when the pass is thrown he squares CNK up and hits him in the back.
Interestingly while CNK didn't go off right away, he was diagnosed with a concussion after the game and it was believed that hit caused the whiplash in his brain.
It really comes down to where you stand on the pace of the tackle. Does the speed of Felise's tackle consitute a harsher or more leniant sentence? Does the speed he's travelling define Felise's mens rea or do we determine that if he had hit him as hard as he could, the tackle would have been catastrophic? I'm sure the defence is all over that.
I do think the MRC made a meal of it by not upgrading Suaalii's charge. That wasn't a simple check, that was a full blooded hit and it's resulted in the victim spending time on the sideline. It should have been a sin-bin and a 3 match suspension given it was his third offence.
My problem is that he had a second go at shouldering a bloke's head with intent, and that isn't even registering with the MRC for a charge. How are we supposed to take player safety seriously if they let that sort of thing slide? My issue is the calls that Kaufusi should be downgraded because Suaali’s doesn’t make Kaufusi’s charge wrong. Both should be 3 weeks but the judiciary fucked up, so what we now need to make that tackle just a fine for the rest of the year? Is this how precedents are going to work? Find a time where the MRC was soft because of incompetence or jersey bias and then you are sweet?
One thing I know is there would be lawyers compiling all this evidence for the eventual class action suit. The NRL can crap on about player safety as much as they want but when they are eventually sued by former players a good attorney will show all of these examples and ask them to tell the court exactly how seriously they were actually taking player safety. My problem is that he had a second go at shouldering a bloke's head with intent, and that isn't even registering with the MRC for a charge. I just don’t want us to lose to the Tigers again next week like we always do.
We've got Tigers, Raiders and Titans coming up. We will drop at least one of those as is custom, but if we're coming off 4-0 to start the year it's not so bad.
We’ll no doubt lose to the Tigers, get heaps of injuries in a tight win/loss over the Raiders and come back from 46-0 to beat the Titans.

I genuinely feel embarrassed reading thisIt's interesting the differences between how the two teams leaderships are treating this fixture.
Terry Reader is talking it up like this will be the greatest rivalry in world sport. comparing it to Souths vs Roosters; Port vs Crows; Man U vs Man City.
Kevvie is the other extreme with a "lol, whatever you reckon"
Terry Reader said:
“If you look at the rivalry between the Rabbitohs and the Roosters, I think this is going to be bigger. Brisbane is the home of rugby league. The sport is king in our city.
“The difference with Sydney is that they have nine teams but in Brisbane we have only two.
“The rivalry is already at fever pitch inside 15 months and that’s because a lot of things have happened between the two clubs to add extra spice to it.”
“This is ‘Battle One’ and so it will continue for years to come. In Adelaide they have had more than 50 showdowns,” Reader said.
“With the Showdown in South Australia you have the closest link to what we have here in Brisbane with the Battle only in a different code, because you’ve got the Adelaide Crows which were a manufactured expansion side and Port Adelaide which came out of the SANFL to play in the AFL.
“We are the first BRL/QRL side to ascend into the top flight. That is lost on a lot of people.
“We didn’t just get made up 15 months ago. Our foundation and DNA is 76 years old (with the Redcliffe Dolphins) and some of the greats of the game have come through this club.”
“We have taken players from the Broncos. I have no doubt as time goes on it will happen both ways but at the moment we welcome two current Broncos (Thomas Flegler and Herbie Farnworth) next year,” Reader said.
“Don’t forget this is our home game at Suncorp Stadium. The Broncos are now co-tenants.
“It is not just their home ground. It is our home ground too. We will host the first ‘Battle for Brisbane’ and that adds even more spice to it.”
Terry Reader (on Dolphins web site):
“This is truly going to be a historic day for rugby league in Queensland,” said Dolphins’ chief executive Terry Reader.
“As our coach Wayne Bennett has said, this rivalry has the opportunity to be as big as some of the other great same-city rivalries across the world.
“The Manchester derby between Manchester United and Manchester City springs to mind.
Kevvie said:
“I guess that’s why the Dolphins were put in Brisbane, to create that rivalry, but we’re not rivals of the Dolphins - we’re the Broncos. That’s our club, that’s who we are and that’s our mindset, we are the Broncos.”
This is their GF and I've been worried about every Storm player injuring our players with dirty wrestling moves for years. We’ve been playing Melbourne for years and haven’t been too worried about Felise.
