I appreciate you more when you are attacking other teams with me :)
We already outnumber them
sounds about right. We’ll no doubt lose to the Tigers, get heaps of injuries in a tight win/loss over the Raiders and come back from 46-0 to beat the Titans.
Yet, it happens year in, year out. This whole bs about precedent etc. I know it happens in the real judicial system too but the reality is that the MRC have one fkn job.My issue is the calls that Kaufusi should be downgraded because Suaali’s doesn’t make Kaufusi’s charge wrong. Both should be 3 weeks but the judiciary fucked up, so what we now need to make that tackle just a fine for the rest of the year? Is this how precedents are going to work? Find a time where the MRC was soft because of incompetence or jersey bias and then you are sweet?
Why’s everyone worried that Kauffi guy would hit Reyno late and damage his lungs & such? Can’t we run someone at him in defense and rattle his cage? Get it done in the opening minutes so he would second guess doing it to us?
I'd have Walsh hanging out the back of reyno all night on the left. Every time kaufusi comes in to hit reyno, Walsh gets a quick short ball. That speed off the mark would mean kaufusi leaves a huge hole in the line. 1 or 2 times that happens and I reckon bennett will be tearing shreds off of kaufusiWhy’s everyone worried that Kauffi guy would hit Reyno late and damage his lungs & such? Can’t we run someone at him in defense and rattle his cage? Get it done in the opening minutes so he would second guess doing it to us?
How dare you to get our ‘Captain in Waiting’s’ name wrong?Kaufusi would be worn down against Jensen/Fleg/Cardigan. No need to worry if he plays.
Yep. Inconsistency of the mrc aside, I couldn't care less if he plays. The whole team will be aware of how he plays/hits so I'm hoping a couple of our guys belt the crap out of him every time he gets the ball. Give him sore ribs for once. Why’s everyone worried that Kauffi guy would hit Reyno late and damage his lungs & such? Can’t we run someone at him in defense and rattle his cage? And immediately got flamed for it by one of own who I've been ignoring for years.I appreciate you more when you are attacking other teams with me :)
What I don't understand from what any of the commentators arguing that Felise should get off seems to be about precedent and he didn't have time to pull out yet no-one can say why he even needs to make these tackles. It doesn't make him tough, he is hitting a defenseless person in the back that is like 30 kg's lighter than him. They will say well what is Hastings dummies? but why can't he perform a regulation tackle for that? In fact wouldn't standing upright rather than launching yourself be more effective if Hastings was to dummy? It's a tough one. I can see how he can argue he was already committed to the tackle. But I also agree with what Andrew Johns said about it being a cowardly hit that needs to be rubbed out. I think in these borderline cases, instant 10 in the bin should be enough dissuasion from making it a habit, and then leave it to the MRC whether to go on with it. In this case, I'd probably give him benefit of the doubt the first time he's on report for it.
Courier Mail:
Katoa being rested with an elbow injury. Hopes to play but must pass fitness test on Thursday. Milford on standby.
If we turn up with the same attitude as last week it will happen, and on past history there’s every reason to expect we will. The last time a new team entered the comp (Gold Coast Titans), we played our first game against them at Suncorp as the away team.
It was Round 5 and we had a poor start to the season losing the opening 3 games. However, in Round 4 we bounced back with a 32-10 win over the Roosters and it looked like we were going to get our season back on track, but Titans gave us a rude shock. They were playing with a lot of energy, throwing the ball around and Prince and Preston just picked us apart. They made a statement that they weren't going to be easy beats and eventually won the game 28-16.
Hopefully the same thing doesn't happen here.

I get all the sentiments here......but
Halves / kickers should not be a protected species. They can't have all night and day to decide what kind of kick they'll execute and to where. They have to feel the pressure.......
Its been this way for eons and as a former half, I well remember that if you **** about too long and dare to turn your back to the rushing defence
you will get smashed......
and rightly so...IMO.
