I just can't watch 360 this year. The formula seems to be talk about the roosters and panthers, lay the boot into the tigers/knights, run a small eye over the other sides and repeat. It's just utter trash for the most part.

It just depends of course also on which of Anasta’s clients is up for a new contract too as they talk them up.

What I don't understand from what any of the commentators arguing that Felise should get off seems to be about precedent and he didn't have time to pull out yet no-one can say why he even needs to make these tackles. It doesn't make him tough, he is hitting a defenseless person in the back that is like 30 kg's lighter than him. They will say well what is Hastings dummies? but why can't he perform a regulation tackle for that? In fact wouldn't standing upright rather than launching yourself be more effective if Hastings was to dummy?

What it comes down to is Felise is a grub who feels like a big man doing this shit but none of the commentators want to say that.
The issue is that Kaufusi's job in that situation is to force Hastings into a play early so his outside defence have enough time to make a decision. Rushing out of the line in of itself is fine and actively encouraged in the game. However by rushing out of the line, Kaufusi cannot pull out of the tackle by the time Hastings has released the ball.

roll the dice and get snake eyes should cop the suspension no different than going for a big shot and hitting the head on accident imo

The difference is that when you look to put a shot on, you're looking to hurt the opposition player as much as you physically can. Whereas in Felise's situation he's doing his job to force Hastings to play early and Hastings holds the pass up so long there's no way Felise could have pulled out in that situation.

I also agree with the earlier point b4l and Morkel made that two wrongs don't make a right, but that's the system we live in.

Here's an example of a very late tackle that wasn't even pinged. And no one complained.

I don't think anyone has ever called Billy a "grub." Sometimes shit just happens when you've already committed.

You might argue in this case Billy wasn't leading with his shoulder, so it's not so brutal. But, on the other hand, in this position he can see where he's going. He completed this tackle.

All I'm saying is these cases can be highly individual and subjective. Sometimes you think the player doing it is a grub and he doesn't care that it's late. But if you run with that logic in a tribunal you have your finger on the scales and someone is going to call it biased.

That's why I think we just accept whatever penalty he gets and understand why it's not easy to look consistent on these borderline infringements. The harder pill to swallow for the player charged is when it's like Carrigan's hip drop which was either 5 weeks or nothing.

yeah but you look to put pressure on and get there late you took the chance and lost you should sit no different than looking to put a shot on and getting it wrong.
if he gets off then it should be open season on halves going to the line no matter if they have passed it or not.

Another difference is that this was only just recently brought into the game. Halves knew if they saw somebody travelling at speed, it was their duty of care to play early or take evasive action.

Under the current rules, I'm fine with it being a sin-bin for the reasons you brought up. However I can see an argument for it being a Grade 1. Had he hit him with the same technique as Suaalii, 100% a Grade 2. However to have the book thrown at him because Hastings decided to find out?

was enough force for hastings to need to come off for a HIA apparently so he cant have tried to pull out of it to much,if he stayed on the field it would have been easier to make the argument for grade 1 imo.

Looks like he might be a late entry if they deem him ready.

We wearing the City Jersey for this game?

Yeah I don't get why people think it was a good change, like flegler still had impact at the start because he is playing like a bulldozer atm, but his effect is on another level when he starts on the bench, we essentially had to have Haas do his role last game at the end.

Milford named at #21 for Dolphins.

I don't think he'll play.

So did Suaalii's yet he was able to stay on the field and received a lighter sentence.

By the time Hastings released the ball, there wasn't much Felise could have done to avoid contact. He was travelling at such a pace that he was committed to the tackle. It's worth noting that Hastings only came off for an HIA and wasn't diagnosed with a concussion.

So Flegler has proven that he always gets a penalty or makes a mistake when he starts, I'm guessing that's part of our game plan now?

Trust you to find this. But I’ve just realised something, you don’t hate Billy. You’re his biggest fan.
