Note too that those who'd "passed" post-offseason testing were rewarded with a few days off.

Gavet was one of them - and he opted to continue training to get used to Bronx systems etc.

Hopefully Bennett can work him like he did Hodges and Ennis. Both were still pests on the field, but were perfectly fine off it. We need a few of those kind of players.

- Macca placed first on the beep test.
- Training was delayed 2 hours
- Confirmation that Wayne didn't attend the first session and allowed the trainers to put the players through their paces

Sounds a bit unusual. Normally don't they have the full squad minus the reps begin training?

He certainly seems to be the X-factor forward we've been missing for a few years now.

Hopefully he can stay fit and on then paddock for the entire season.

No, guys always come back at different times. Few 20's guys don't start till the 12th.

I'm just glad he's in the squad. If Bennett is content to use who we have for the meantime, I dare say Dodds will be one of those who'll be leaned on.
