I would be stoked with this. Let them develop Coates for the next few years and bring him back with the Storm mentality, and without Bellamy by then it shouldn't be hard to organise. That's if we sort out our office by then as well, but we can hope!

At a guess and a bit of a gut feeling Coates is our swap for B Smith and this is just the meeting with the coach to see if he would be a good fit. Eventho the Storm have said B Smith will not be released until 2022, this is the Broncos trying to come to a deal for 2021.

Someone else said what they thought Fifita wanted to do. Perhaps that person misrepresented Fifita inadvertently with a poor choice of words. It's possible she was trying to say 'David wants to be comfortable with his decision or new role'. Who knows.

I don't see value in attaching D Fifita to another person's botched communication attempt.

Totally agree that David didn't say it, his Mum did, but there's no evidence of it being a 'botched' communication either.
She meant what she said, we just don't know if it accurately reflects David's position.
