Pre-Season

the playing group will plot their own course. Lol.

Sounds like code for “kevvie is a good bloke but not a good coach”
I'd read it more as putting it on the leadership group and playing group to establish where they actually want to go this year.

Mentality in sport is 90% of the game... all the players are elite athletes and know how to play the game... if you turn up with a shit attitude you'll get pumped by the team coming stone motherless.

If the playing group turn up to games with a shit attitude and try to go through the motions they'll get pumped... if they turn up wanting to rip the opposition's head off every game they'll be on it from the opening whistle and looking to dominate the opposition.

Over the last however many years you would basically know if the broncos were going to win or not within the first 5mins... even in 2018 under Bennett we would turn up for the top teams but continually lose to the bottom teams... including getting 50 put on us at home in a finals game.

If the entire playing group is galvanised and turning up for each other every game then we can go far in the comp... having that mentality is as much a responsibility of the playing group as it is the coaching staff

He's the same age as Reynolds.
But way tougher!

Good point. I guess in that way it would be hard to learn from someone at the same stage, and he would not add much value in that way. He just seems younger to me.

Season 4 Success GIF by The Office

Wonder how much of team cohesion, mental rigidness is addressed during the off season.

Since most of the squad are no longer rookies & have got some grade experience, I expect decent amount of effort is put into turning up for each other every sec every game.

He genuinely feels like a bloke with good attitude who wants to learn & truly is enjoying his time here. Hope he nails it and become part of 17 some time this season on regular basis.

Sounds like we've produced more Victorian talent than the Storm already and we haven't done much. (Yes I'm aware he said he was in the Storm system but sounds like it was for like a month and carrying tackling bags around.

Plus, given his AFL background, he should have a decent kick on him.

Sounds like a non displaced eye socket fracture. The risk would be another impact to the face or eye cause further damage. Depending on size and location it could be good to go by round one but would it be worth the risk?
