Premiership Chances

I didn't see the incident involving Burgess, who did he throw the water bottle at? Was it Evans?

I did see Kane Evans throw the ball at Paul Carter's head wound, which only received a Grade 1, so I'm trying to figure out how the **** that's different to what Burgess did.

The NRL judicial system becomes more of a farce day by day.

Anyone up for revised opinions?

I think I was pretty much spot on when it comes to Merge, Souffs and Dogs. The fact that the Dogs survived by only one point plus the loss of Pritchard and Kasiano will be deadly for them against the Roosters. The Prelim at Suncorp will be Broncos vs. Roosters, I'm pretty much convinced. Lets just hope the Dogs decide to go for broke and grub it up to really **** the Roosters up.

Cows vs Sharks: common footy logic would suggest that the Cows are strong favorites at home, and I do think they will ultimately win and advance to Melbourne but the Sharks will definitely not die wondering. The Cows are a much better chance of beating Melbourne down there but fatigue will begin to take its toll on them eventually so they must get off the bus in a good mindset or Melbourne will wrestle them to the turf all night.

As for us, well I was cautiously optimistic going into Saturday. No longer. The week off will be the difference. Our freshness and exceptional defence will frustrate a tired and battered Roosters out of the game, but Milf and Hunt's kicking games have to be on point. Don't give their backs any room to get momentum and control the ruck and we should be right.

Grand Final? It'll be us vs. Cows or Storm. Who will be there alongside us is a coin flip.

Surely the Sharks fluke run has to end now. Cowboys, Storm, Roosters, Broncos...only the best 4 teams to remain.

Fluke ?? Honestly that word shouldn't be thrown around lightly when speaking about a club that was systematically enhancing it's chance of success by using illegal drugs.

Fluke...?? I think not.

There has to be an investigation.

They were cheating, but they are still fluking. The drugs didn't make them particularly good.

What drugs? Have they been taking performance enhancing drugs ? I thought that happened in 2012 or are you saying that the recovery drugs alleged to have been in use three years ago somehow is benefiting them in 2015 ? If you are then you have no grasp on reality.

They were too rubbish on the weekend to be on any sort of drugs.

Gallen went from a skinny nobody that Parra didn't want, to a bulk machine at the Sharks with them roids. The effect already happened.

With all due disrespect to Gallen, Dank was sticking his needles in Manly's players well before Gallen, and long after Gallen was already a 5-foot tall angry buzzard.

I never mentioned PED's ......I said illegal drugs, which they are.

The reality is, the Sharks RL club were convicted of being drug cheats.

If they are performing better than expected, I don't think its unreasonable to investigate why.

So you are saying that a current team, more stringently tested than any other should be investigated for a performance that saw them make the eight with a minus for and against? **** me..it was three years ago that they had dank ! Get a fucking grip

While I don't think the Sharks are back on the drugs, it's not il unreasonable to ask the question seeing they have form.

...

I'm speechless.

I am without speech.

So because of program Dank had the 2011 squad on, somehow, that explains the Sharks improvement this season...

Really?

How about this. How about some of you just admit that the sight of Paul Gallen fills your eyes with blind hatred because that's the only possible explanation for this rubbish.

The key to Cronulla's success isn't a secret.

How well did you expect them to perform last year? They lost their head coach, lost their key playmaker, had key players walking out on the club and struggled to field their best team week in week out. Whenever they were able to field their best team, they caused upsets and I don't think I need to remind you of that.

They step away from that, make a substantial upgrade on their dummy half (Morris to Ennis), bring through two of the best young players in the game (Jack Bird and Valentine Holmes) and have a much easier time with injuries (From 37 Players used to 25 Players used) and it's still difficult to fathom?!

There's no mystery to the Sharks. They've got one of the best packs in the game with enough talent around them to finish 6th.

If Penrith or the Warriors improve next year, I hope ASADA hounds their asses. It's the only explanation!

I had them pegged for the top 8 at the start of the season right because of the reasons you mention BP.

But don't forget they have form, were never adequately punished, and have Flanagan (who was right in the middle of it in 2011) back as well, so maybe it is not that outrageous to ask the question, given they went from spooners to being right in the Finals mix this season.

I think they deserve to be where they are, although I also think they reached their ceiling and will bow out in Townsville.
I don't have a problem with the club, and wish them luck in a Gallenless future, but as long as he is there, I hope they win absolutely nothing!

Why?

Easy. Ben Barba - virtually undetectable

Why's that Pete.......have both the Panthers and Warriors been previously convicted of running an illegal drugs programme?

No...??

If a convicted thief is staying at your house (for example) and all of a sudden, stuff/money starts disappearing .......common sense would compel you to question him. Yes...?

The Cronulla Sharks are convicted drug cheats. Any success they have on the field should be held as suspicious until proven otherwise. Only after they serve enough penance and have been scrutinised thoroughly over a suitable parole time, should they ever be trusted enough to again be allowed enjoy the public's trust in their natural talent pool.

Is this an argument for or against being suspicious of the Sharks ....LOL.
