Queensland Bulls 2016/2017

I wonder if there's a scenario in which we just roll with 6 batsmen and piss off the "bowling" all-rounder Mitch Marsh / Moses Henriques. I think that's our best chance at winning this Summer, our batting is our biggest weakness right now.

1. Warner
2. Burns
3. Khawaja
4. Smith (c)
5. S.Marsh
6. Voges
7. Nevill
8. Starc
9. Siddle
10. Hazlewood
11. Lyon

Beautiful left/right combinations all the way through the top 6 as well..

Siddle hasn't played in six months and Starc been injured since August. You're being bold to think two guys with little cricket and a rookie can produce 20 wickets on a pitch that produced 1672 runs last time.

It could have a silimar effect to Adelaide in 2012 where they were cooked and couldn't produce for the rest of the series.

Hazlewood is hardly a rookie.

Marsh doesn't offer anything honestly, he's a below average quick and a well below average middle order batsmen, if we're going to play an all-rounder it should be someone who can contribute.

20 Tests is a rookie. That's only eight more than Burns.

Performance aside; he can still shoulder the workload at his home too.

20 Tests is a rookie.

According to who lol, he debuted in 2014 and was a part of various test squads between 2010-13, he's been in and around the Australian scene for plenty of time and has over 50 international matches to his name across all 3 forms.

You're right; he's a seasoned veteran- only 180 Tests off Tendulkar.

Labuschagne 50.

Feldman took his 150th FC wicket for Bulls yesterday too.

84 runs behind.

So Warner with 54 tests and almost 5 years of experience at test level with around 140 limited overs games with success is a rookie

Lol

Why would you pick an arbitary player who has played nearly three times the amount and compare them?

Warner is the vice captain- has played 54 Tests which is roughly 5 years of Test cricket he's averaging close to 50 and 5000 Tests runs,

I think 50 or Tests is when you really know your craft- similar time frame to 100 NRL games.

xD

There's a middle ground between Rookie's & Veteran's, not sure what you call it, but that's where Hazlewood is.

It's subjective when a player has experience and isn't new but let's just compare Hazlewood to Steyn.

Hazlewood- 680.3 overs in Test cricket.
Steyn- 2868.2 overs in Test cricket.

Hazlewood has a long way to go- he's only just begun his career.

Bulls lead by 2.

Lab and Nesser playing some beautiful shots.

Already put on 35 runs together.
