What is going on with Lynn? Is his shoulder a career ending injury? We could really use him right now to get an extended run because if he could consistently play anywhere near his best, he would walk into the Aussie side.

Truloff comes out.

Disappointing for him but other chances will come up.

Big day today- Waugh is here watching.

According to Cricinfo, Matt Renshaw is batting on his own.

1/4- they were very watchful and patient but just slipped up.

Burns may find it hard to get back in the test team in the future after this. I reckon unless he gets a decent score in the second innings, the selectors will either promote Khawaja to open or pick a noob - Patterson, Renshaw or Bancroft...or (and I never thought I'd say it) Marcus Harris.

Renshaw holding strong, if it's not in his area he isn't touching it.

Let's be honest here, the Aussies could do worse than take a punt on Renshaw couldn't they. He looks an old-fashioned test player, he can concentrate harder than anyone I've seen coming through for a while and values his wicket. He is a guy, who if successful, could be a Cook style rock that the team of the next 15+ years is built around. That is a rare kind of batsman at his age.

Handscomb is in in the other game, all eyes on how he goes as well.

Also, while Sayers hasn't taken any wickets, that economy rate and long bowling stint ability is the perfect third-seamer role to compliment Hazlewood/Starc.

Very similar to the Test, down the leg side.

Sensible 'Gabba batting- waiting and it will open up. It is starting to now with Khawaja being more aggressive.

Renshaw batting like he did in Mackay last year.
