Queensland Bulls 2016/2017

Also, while Sayers hasn't taken any wickets, that economy rate and long bowling stint ability is the perfect third-seamer role to compliment Hazlewood/Starc.

He hasn't made them play enough; they've been able to just let things go and wait.

Very similar to the Test, down the leg side.

That's incredibly disappointing.

Meanwhile, Bancroft once again got jack all. He has just fallen into a chasm since being groomed last season. Therefore, he will no doubt get picked.

Cartwright and Voges charged with getting WA out of a big hole early. I would love Cartwright to get a huge score as I have made no secret I seriously rate him. Long way to go there though.

I don't actually understand why Khawaja had to go back to Shield. He has looked the best of all our batsmen so far this summer comfortably.

Sheesh, I put the mocker on him didn't I. Out the very next ball. Sorry, Hilton.

This innings from Renshaw is exactly what we've been crying out for from our batsmen isn't it? He saw off the new ball very calmly and is now starting to cash in.

Has there been a more important Shield round than this in recent memory?

Not that I can think of, there might actually be 4 or 5 test spots up for grabs, so many people in contention if they perform well. It's a good test of character, guys like Burns & Bancroft proved that they aren't up to it.

Khawaja 100

Number 3

Good batting; aggressive when needed and great support to Renshaw.

Had no doubt about Usman being our #3 of the next few years, he's rock solid.

I think if Renshaw finishes off this 100 we've found our top 3 for the rest of the summer.

Not for a long while but mid 80's when we were fielding two teams essentially due to rebels and during WSC late 70's.

They're the two times this many spots were up.

Khawaja is near on the best batsman in Australia at present. That is no disrespect to Warner and Smith but AT PRESENT, Khawaja just looks so much smoother and more composed than any other batsman. He reminds me so much of Mark Waugh actually. Probably the most natural talent out of anyone but tends to get bored or does something silly to stop himself getting the huge scores he should be regularly rattling off.

Renshaw is batting well and timing the ball well, he's so small he has to play nice shots to get runs. Hit a few nice 6's because he times it.

I'm totally with you. We've all been big fans of Renshaw but this type of innings oozes class and at such a young age. He is super exciting and probably playing himself very much into the test team.

1910, do you know if Renshaw has been in discussions amongst the people that matter?
