When you give an 18 year old with one ISC game 500k you can't have him learning his trade for Redcliffe.
But you could play him at 6 or 14.

Then when round one rolls around he wouldn't have had as much NRL fullbackness.
Thing is though he doesnt soley play on the wing... he still bobs up in the middle now and then.Fair point but they could still rotate hi. Through here at points in games. RTS is wasted on the wing.

Personally i think they are handling the Walsh transition pretty well.
Players can be good in shit teams thoughIt sucks seeing him carve up every week for the Warriors but the kid is a star and we made a monumental error in not keeping him.
I don't think he would be as effective in our team as he has been for the Warriors but that's besides the point. They've signed a good one, every single week he is the stand out player in their team.
Like Reece Walsh at the Warriors.Players can be good in shit teams though
How hard is that though? LOLIt sucks seeing him carve up every week for the Warriors but the kid is a star and we made a monumental error in not keeping him.

I think early on Gould and Brown have been shouting about getting Australian players into the warriors. With Gould at the Warriors I'll expect them to do more of this in the future, though I thought he was going to focus on keeping Kiwi talent from signing for other NRL clubs when their young.
It's dumb because NZ would have the most talented juniors, if they could pull them across from rugbyI think early on Gould and Brown have been shouting about getting Australian players into the warriors.
One thing I would say that agrees with that thinking is from the Riki and Carrigan interview last year.
Riki indicated that when he came to Australia the junior footy was completely different and way more professional compared to NZ. I think he mentioned that everything in NZ is focussed on union and league is an afterthought, so getting some talented Australian players in may lift the standard for the juniors who have only been exposed to NZ rugby league.
Really they need to improve the junior rugby league over there, which is what I thought Gould was doing over there. Instead it seems like Gould has just been watching Australian junior footy and cherry picking players
It's also a fast tracked way to get into the all blacks it seems... every year there is a kiwi player linked to a return to rugby to play for the kiwis. It's dumb because NZ would have the most talented juniors, if they could pull them across from rugby
I think they will be but they need to actually establish a system there first which will take time, so I guess in the meantime they will go after SEQ talent because there is tonnes of young talent with only a few clubs in the area as apposed to NSW which is pretty much tapped out.I think early on Gould and Brown have been shouting about getting Australian players into the warriors.
