Boyd and Michaels. Boyd is improving, and Michaels is CRIMINALLY underrated here it seems.

He's solid at best, if you can't see that then you are crimminally overrating him.

I might be overrating him, but he's still better than Boyd and Kemp. At least at this point in time.

Michaels seems to have hit his peak and that's as good as he's going to do.

The others are getting better and better.

Hit his peak at 21, a the start of his 2nd real season..?

I'm glad you read what I said correctly.

Seems pretty clear cut that you said he has hit his peak and isn't going to get any better. Which is a ludicrous thing to say about a 21 yr old.

We'll see how crazy it is when he's playing for another club then.

To suggest that Michaels is anywhere near the class of Folau....is quite simply..... CRIMINALLY INSANE.

Who is comparing him to Folau? I thought we were comparing him to Boyd and Kemp. Of the 3 he is currently the best.

I understand Michaels wants to play centre too, and IMO we should really let him. Folau's reading of the game in the centres in defense is pretty suspect, but on the wings he'd be a very damaging runner.

My reference was in regard to these statements, sorry for the confusion.

In your opinion.

Boyd is a much more complete player IMO.

He has much better footwork, he's reasonably quick, he reads the game in defence beautifully, he's solid under the high ball, plus he can play in three positions.

Boyd is so much better than Michaels its not even funny.

I know Boyd, Michaels and Kemp are being talked about because Reni maybe be coming but gee wiz it is a thread about Reni!

Maybe start a thread about who of the 3 we should/could keep.

Dont let Kels see all this promotion of Boyd haha, she wont like it [eusa_naugh [icon_wink

Everyone, calm down.

This is all a matter of OPINION. Someone says they think Boyd is better than Michaels, that's fine. As is the other way around. Just chiiillllll!!

Luke Patten on NRL on Fox last night seemed to be pretty dirty on Reni talking about leaving.Reckons he owes the Dogs after all they have done for him.

I don't want Boyd to go anywhere.Taken me all this time to like him and acknowledge that he can play footy. icon_smile

Patten thinks everyone owes the bulldogs, so thats no surprise to hear him say that! I mean he was going to go himself but decided against it because he didnt want the guilt haha

I guess they have done lots for him though. Not like I care.I actually left the room once he came on.
Best programme on NRL I have seen in a long time.
I just love the passion Tommy Raudonikis has for footy.I could have sat through his stories and old clips from the 70,s for another hour.

Off subject I know.
Anyone who saw the show last night hear Gordie talking about the player who offered to take the coach outside after a game.? icon_smile
Coach could only have been Smith or Bennett and am trying to figure who the player was. eusa_think

He said it was a captain too (and wasn't him) so that leaves Alfie Langer or Kevin Walters from the Broncos. At St. George the captains were Mark Coyne, Brad Mackay (?) or Scott Gourley.

TBH, Brad Mackay seems most likely to me.

Michael Beattie was the captain in the 92 grand final and is a grade A turd. I reckon it was him.

Most people will probably disagree with me, but i'd rather re-sign Boyd than Michaels.

Yo.
