Was mildly intoxicated when I typed it but both kind of fit really. There's a zero tolerance rule in place for touching the ref apparently so given the players weren't cited for it, it's fair to say it wasn't sighted by anyone lol.

On that, apparently Merrin DID touch the ref and there is vision of it but won't be charged.

I don't really understand the whole "no touching" thing. If the ref is copping abuse and someone grabs his arm and goes "Listen here mate" then he should be suspended but they're not bloody deities whose holy visage would be sullied by contact with the common scum.

As stupid as the rule is, it's still the rule and you can't touch the refs, simple as that. Why do these players still do it. Though I agree, a fine rather than suspension/points loading would be a better punishment.

The best was when Parker told the ref not to touch him, classic. Forgot what game it was.
