this is what i'd like to see:

8. Carrigan
10. Haas
11. Capewell
12. Riki
13. Hethrington

14. Utility
15. Flegler
16. Robati
17. Experienced prop recruit (Napa/James?)

I think this is pretty close to being it but I wouldn't be surprised if two things happen, number 1 being far more likely:

1. Flegler starts with Carrigan off the bench given Patty is coming back from a long term injury
2. Carrigan starts at 13 and reverts back to being a lock.

Talented prop Logan Bayliss has signed a two-year contract with the Brisbane Broncos.

The 21-year-old Queenslander has trained with the Broncos NRL squad during the 2020 season through the Club’s Affiliate relationship with Souths Logan Magpies, impressing with his commitment and skill. He has signed with the Broncos for the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

Hope he’s better than Bullemor 😞

How much would he be on?

In that case would be alright as not much risk to us.
Yeah I imagine this would be a foot through the door kind of contract, basic deal both sides benefit from and one for him to get a chance to train with the team, get the odd game here and there and if impresses may lead to more opportunities.

Reynolds just kicked one of the best 40-20s i have seen. Kicking to the non-preferred touch line for a right footer and landed in a 3m gap between the winger and fullback before finding the side line.

Souths scored a couple plays later. I am Really looking forward to having a top shelf, strategic kicker.

It was insane, given our situation definitely a signing that can turn things around.

We are looking improved for next year for sure. But we need to think a bit more like the Broncos of old, with a modern flair to make sure we don't claim the spoon again.

I'm still surprised though that NRL clubs don't develop with an eye on international rep level at all. Especially from a system point of view.

It would be probably one of the fastest ways to fix a busted squad if you had the U18 PNG or Fijian 3/4 line or even an entire edge all coming through developing and playing together for example.

I feel like you're attempting to say a lot without actually explaining anything. Why would having the under 18 PNG back line be any better than having the best players from the best footy schools in Australia signed from a young age, training often and coming through together when they all move to Brisbane? The problem we have is that they're all split up after that. Our development players are all over the place and even our depth players all play for different teams

This is a big problem for me. Our guys coming through should be playing together, building trust, communication, understanding of each others' games. If this isn't happening, it really should be.

Our Q Cup model makes no sense. It benefits the Q Cup and nobody else. Why there isn't a "Clydesdales" in 2021 is ridiculous. Next year we could be running around with this team at a local field.

I'd travel just as far across Brisbane as I do to get to Suncorp to watch that team play.

Bring back the Clydesdales.. we haven't won a comp since 06 and I'm pretty sure that's when the Clydesdales stopped

It wouldn’t be too dominant but would give our young guns a run with some adults and a chance to build actual connections with Broncos players instead of part timers at whatever club they’re sent to

I'd prefer to watch them than any NRL game.

You do have a good point about players being split up, but that is just as much on the Broncos. Ikin could rearrange that. Or just buy out a Q cup team, whichever works. Redcliffe and East Tigers will have their own if they come in, we should too.

But if we have every high school player who is showing signs of talent, we make ourselves a target for poaching.

Everybody club in the NRL thinks that they will develop the next Darren Lockyer or Greg Inglis and all their clubs problems will be solved, it doesn't work like that and never did.

Lockyer played alongside Langer, Walters, Sailor, Lazurus, Renouf and Tallis as a rookie, there was never any extreme amount of pressure on him as a rookie. Wally Lewis was the one the media beat on when Alfie was a rookie. It takes time. Cleary was being mocked 3-4 years ago. James Maloney took a lot of hits from the media for him. Look at Cleary now, Best Halfback in the game. Compared to Kyle Flanagan who constantly got hung out to dry.

If we are developing players, we should be developing them as edge combinations, and telling them we don't expect them to be superstars, just good role players who do their jobs.

And for me, the work that is done at under 18s international level by tier 2 nations usually gets wasted because nobody takes full advantage of it. Which is weird considering this is the NRL we are talking about, and advantage is something all coaches are looking for.
