David Riccio just said on 360 that Reynolds is on 1.1m a year.
Haven’t heard that one before, wonder where he plucked that number?
I wish someone held these numb nuts responsible for the dribble that comes out of their mouth.
Sure and then he's on 500k for the next 2 years then.

...and then tried to make out like it was on the Broncos that he's on the sideline lol. Kent pointed out he has Covid so nobody is at fault here. Riccio is a fucking muppet.

we're not going to have a repeat of the Bird magical contract figures are we.

Reynolds contract was initially reported at $2.25 million ($750k a year) ... the media have now generally settled on the $2.4 million over 3 years ($800k per year) figure.

The world must be coming to an end if Kent is defending us (although i'd bet he didn't bother trying to clear up the $1.1 million a season lie)

He did not.

Braith was also claiming that we had Gamble and Kelly in the halves... nope wrong again Gamble also has covid

These guys don't even pay attention unless it's happening in Shitney

I’ve politely put this ‘$1.1million / 4 year’ query to Hans Christian Riccio on Twitter..

Honestly, these Sydney-centric scribes would know more about North Korea than the Brisbane Broncos

Seriously, this is one of the most publicised NRL deals of the year.. how do you go on national television and get it THAT FAR wrong when you play in this space for your profession??

It’s fucking awful work from Riccio

Can I just say (I know it isn't true) but IF we front ended Reynolds' contract in the absence of other big name signings and IF we had the money in the cap to do so, this is a really, really good move. It frees us up quite a bit for '23 and '24. Just saying IF it were true which of course it isn't likely to be.

He may well be on 1.1M but that most likely includes 3rd parties that are not on the cap.

Yep. Kev knows there isn't enough room in a starting 13 for a goal kicker, especially not when Reynolds is in the side. Isaako literally serves NO purpose to the Broncos.
Like... When the other starting goal kicker has covid and the other fullback option gets injured?

We need a long term approach to our spine by poaching players we know can perform consistently at the top Level. Reynolds is a good option for getting what we need but we need to plan his successor by looking at players that are mid twenties when he is off contract and established first graders. We need to do this for most spine positions depending on the development of some of our players in the meantime. We have Moser and Mam as good prospects but they may or may not fulfill their potential. We may need to buy at least 2 experienced spine players to join them.

Roosters do this really well. They got Keary and Tedesco at the right times in their career and now just got Brandon Smith at a similar stage. They bought Cronk a bit like us with Reynolds and then churned through Flanaghan and seem to have a good one with Walker. We need to plan in a similar way with a couple of solid options and some backup options that could go like Flanaghan or Walker to compliment them.
If only we were anything like the roosters... Man we'd be sitting pretty

Something you might not have noticed - and it's something I commented was missing during Seibold's tenure - is Kevvie has been injecting some indigenous-descent talent into our squad. If he keeps it up, they might outnumber Kiwis next season.

As did I. Apart from Staggs, we desperately missed the instinctive flair of the Indigenous boys for a while there.
