Round 1 Discussion

This is not bad to watch from the Tigers, a lot of ball movement now. No idea what that 6 again was for.

The second 20 of this half has actually been pretty good after a terrible start.

The Raiders are being a bit grubby here

Either some of these players are offside or Addo-Carr's reputation as the fastest man on the planet is in grave jeopardy.

All I'm saying is that Jack Wighton shouldn't sweat him.

Watching the Saints game and the ridiculous 6 again rule is shown up again .
Cronulla player holds on all the way up stopping a quick play the ball obviously not caring about conceding a restart and the ref just let's it go. Saints do something similar penalty under the posts.
It is the worst ever change to the game bar none.
It's like the old scrum penalties where no one knew what happened but they used to influence outcomes.

Merge are paying dearly for snubbing watching our games for the past 10 years. What sort of genius puts a side together that includes, Hunt, Norman, McC and Bird with Griffin as coach after the steaming pile of shit they delivered for us for so long? And this is on top of losing Frizell.

They're destined for a bottom 4 finish.

Even against 12 men the Dragqueens couldn’t muster up any organised plays.
Griffin - “All going according to plan” 😂

That interview with Ryan James was excellent, he seems like a really great bloke.

They were talking about him on ABC Sport (radio) today and they were saying that when he got to Canberra, instead of waiting until the NRL team were required at training, he showed up to train with their u20 and reserve grade sides.

it was a bid to not only get his body and fitness right after 2 years out ... but also immerse himself in the culture of the club

Another anomaly with the new rules.
Cronulla player drops the ball ( in the attacking 30) and the player in front of him plays at it and catches it in an off side position.
Ref packs a scrum. How is that an advantage to the defending side.
This is what happens when changes are made without trialing them.
Vlandies can **** off IMO.
How is this bloke all of a sudden a rugby league God

Because he is the best thing ever to mankind, just ask him.

Looking at all the teams so far, and looking for an excuse for another list, I'd put the sides in this order:

1. Storm
2. Roosters
3. Panthers

These three are above everyone else by a mile

4. Knights
5. Warriors
6. Raiders
7. Eels
8. Tigers
9. Rabbitohs
10. Sharks
11. Broncos

12. Titans
13. Bulldogs

14. Dragons

15. Cowboys

16. Sea Eagles

It's been a great opening half for the Cronulla Sharks. Nothing too flashy but they've handled the conditions wonderfully completing at 90% and winning the physical contest. Both their tries were classic wet weather kick it low chase it hard tries and the Dragons look completely out to sea. Tuby Rudolf in the middle of the field has continued his strong form from last season with another commanding performance tonight while Kennedy and Katoa have been strong working the ball out of trouble.

The only real blemish was the sin bin of Jesse Ramien who will likely spend a few weeks on the sideline for his swinging arm on Dufty.

As for the Dragons they've had their moments but they're just struggling to put together quality plays. Physically they've struggled to assert themselves and when they've had any sort of ascendency their playmakers haven't capitilised. They'll need a big second half to turn this around.

That's the break the Dragons needed.

Nothing doing so Hunt puts a bomb up in the air, neither Kennedy or Katoa wanted a piece of it allowing Clune to score underneath the uprights.
