Isn't our first home game R3? Or am I confused?

If Roberts saves his maiden try in Broncos colours for Suncorp in Round 2, I hope the crowd make it memorable for him

It will be against the Warriors.

There will be more Warriors fans than Broncos fans.

Their supporter base here is fucking massive.

It's only one game but a positive sign is that we scored 2 tries on both our left and right (3 in the middle). Roberts played well his opportunities, his contributing pass to Eden was great from a centre. I don't know what people expect from him? 8 tries every game?

he'll spend the first half season learning how to play the way Bennett wants and I don't expect anything amazing during that time. A big thing you'll notice from the Wigan game is how much his presence alone puts doubt in the head of the defence, which allows a lot more time for Gillett, Boyd, and Hunt to do their things.

Get on him scoring in the first 20.

Broncos scored 174 points in the first 20 last year- which was the most in the NRL. Let in 54 in the first 20- that's the least amount in the NRL.

Record tries at Lang Park- Hodges 39

Reed is on 29 and Gillette on 30 so they could both take that record.

McCullough 98 and Glenn 95 are close to 100 NRL wins.

Broncos need 107 tries to bring up 3000 tries.

Thaiday needs 19 games for 250

Parker needs 8 games to be most capped forward ever. Hindmarsh is currently on 330.

But I thought Jack Reed does nothing?! I can't believe anything anymore.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Don't let people know that the leading try scorer for the broncos for the past couple of years has been the guy standing on the outside of Reed.

Reed has definitely played his part, but I don't think you can underestimate the work of Milford and Norman either.

And before people begin, yes I know, "Norman?!" Say what you want, the guy had skill, had his moments in 2012 and was the go-to guy for the majority of 2013.

As much as I prefer the Hunt and Milford pairing I always thought if Wallace was dropped and Prince was never signed a Hunt/Norman combo would have turned out pretty good.

Which is why they both should have been paired together in a QCup side for a good season or two.

Norman had his moments yes, but he was also equally guilty of not using his support players. I'll give him credit though he is doing better at the Eels but frankly we are better off with Milford and Hunt, then Norman and Hunt.

It was as if the Broncos were rewarded for bad foresight. Admittedly, I wanted a Hunt/Wallace halves pairing, at least during the initial stages of the post-Lockyer regime just to give everyone time to settle into their new roles. Playing Captain Hindsight for a minute here (or Mr. Fourex one or the other), what should have happened is that after Norman/Hunt demonstrated they had more upside as a combination, Wallace should have been shown the door with the Broncos entering the market for an extra prop (somebody better than Anderson, Hala and Lui) and a back. While I'm on a roll, Gerard Beale should have been retained at fullback with Hoffman on the wing (as punishment for showing up from his honeymoon overweight) and Gagai should have been installed as the first drop.

Now, Milford would have come in regardless but the Corey Norman situation would have been messy. I get the feeling that he will never mature into the player he's promised to on multiple occasions and there would have been a messy divorce. Since the Broncos were so patient with recruitment, they were in prime position to add Milford into their team and have him fill their ideal role.

Aye, have Norman play QCup from 2010-2011 with little guest appearances through out the season.

Hunt from 2009-2011 with a semi-regular utility spot.

In their spot, you'd have McCullough, Marsh (circa 2009-2010) and Baptiste (circa 2011) duking it out for the second bench spot.

But Reed didn't achieve in spite of him, Norman was the go-to guy so naturally the left hand side scored more tries than the right.
