He was named at 20, though. He'll likely be a late inclusion from what I'm hearing.
He must still be carrying a niggle and they are giving him as much time to prove fitness.

What is the story with Clifford, is he having some MH issues?

They haven't said much, just that he's having some personal issues but the rumours going around are that he's not in a very good head space and he's struggling to cope.

Homesickness? Or is it something more sinister?

I just hope we see the full Milf repertoire, a few kicks finding the fullback on the full, a few kicks out for a set of 7 restar. A few aimless circular runs tryikng to pick up a straight runner and then being tackled. Maybe an intercept pass for Cobbo to run the length. At least 1-2 missed tackles on a second rower running a line.

Don't forget the midfield bomb followed by zero chase, the flat rocket pass thrown to a team mate standing less than a metre away from him, or the Darius Boyd appeal to the referee.

Herherington and patty to run at him all night long

Milford running the sweep play with Ponga could be dangerous. Good thing Oates is on the other side to where it’ll likely occur.

Walters:

“I’m 90 per cent sure Te Maire will play. We’re going to check him on Wednesday but he is getting better each day. We are pretty confident he will be right. We’ve got a couple of options if he doesn’t play. I am split and need to talk with Reyno, Capes and the other coaches."
“We will either move Cobbo and bring Jordan Pereira on the wing or we can leave Cobbo where he is and bring David Mead in to play fullback."
“David hasn’t played for five or six weeks but he is very safe and I like the idea of leaving Cobbo where he is with Kotoni. I don’t want to complicate his life too much. We will make a decision on Wednesday.”
“We’ve got a lot of respect for what the Knights are doing. You’re only as good as your last game and they had a win. They’ve got some players coming back which breeds confidence. For us it’s about maintaining and getting better each week. We won two games and then lost four straight not too long ago. We’ve got to maintain what we’re doing. A few guys have got some more footy in them which we need to bring out.”

Oh yes, the very slow exaggerated getting up to play the ball with the glaring at the ref.

Kevvie on TMM, and options should he be ruled out

“I’m 90 per cent sure Te Maire will play,” Walters said. “We’re going to check him (on Wednesday) but he is getting better each day. We are pretty confident he will be right.

“We’ve got a couple of options if he doesn’t play. I am split and need to talk with Reyno (Adam Reynolds), Capes (Kurt Capewell) and the other coaches.

“We will either move Cobbo and bring Jordan Pereira on the wing or we can leave Cobbo where he is and bring David Mead in to play fullback.

“David hasn’t played for five or six weeks (knee injury) but he is very safe and I like the idea of leaving Cobbo where he is with Kotoni (Staggs). I don’t want to complicate his life too much.

“We will make a decision (on Wednesday).”

If we can hold onto the ball like we have been doing reynos kicking game the way it's been will put us in a great position

At their best, they would be dangerous. Fortunately for us, Milford and Ponga are two of the most overhyped and overrated players in recent memory, and it's because they both lack the work ethic and the drive to be truly elite. They have failed to fulfil their potential, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. In a perfect world where they did have the work ethic though, they would be one of the best and most entertaining attacking pairings today. As a rugby league fan, It's a shame really.

Yes but it was untenable with where he was at with our club, he phoned it in for at least the last 2 years of his contract whilst being the highest paid player at the club
Yep ...for sure you can't begrudge the decision to let him go.

I thought Kevie might have given him one last shot .....on a reduced deal, knowing that Reyno was coming and he was the type of player that should suit Milfords game to a tee....ultimately benefiting the entire team greatly. I still think its been one of Walter's poorer decisions. I was surprised and disappointed. Kevie usually doesn't mind taking a risk...the potential for Reynolds and Milford to do big things was great......

I thought and still think, he should have rolled the dice.
