POST GAME [Round 11, 2024] Broncos vs Sea Eagles

Rejoicing here as when Haas went off I said the season has reached an all time low for our boys. Then when he miraculously made his way back onto the field I just knew that that was the end of the injuries for us this year.

I reckon his return to fight it out with the rest of the boys was the turning point in our injury riddled season.

Huge effort by Riki in defence, Madden looked like he was set to have a ball until the edict of NRL manufacturing an venous fought game took away all our momentum.

Thought the Karp looked like he’s got some wheels. Would like to see him in open space. Another outstanding captian’s knock by Paddy.

Cobbs is looking fitter by the week. What a game he had u der the bomb.
Outstanding summary. Jensen deserves a mention for his relentless effort.

Sel is wrong about his own career then?

"Nah I never played fullback growing up (giggle)".

"I played at lock though. Like in the middle. But they made me play it behind the line so I could catch the kicks and have room to run, and they kept making me wear the number 1 jersey, I think because I was like, the number one best try scorer on my teams. But nah I never played fullback".

Anyone else a bit disappointed in Mozer tonight? really didnt show a whole heap. Just looked like a qcup fill in which i suppose is fine...

so seibold said that the sin bin was harsh because it "wasn't a try scoring situation" ... the despite the fact that Cobbo just tore them a new one and left half their team at the other end of the field.

Sebold compared the sin bin to when we were off side at marker and only conceded a 6 again.

then said that last penalty was the softest he had ever seen ... that despite Mariner getting pinged for tackling too hard
He must've forgot about the touch Turbo challenged for last week

Really not sure what more some of you wanted to see from Mozer. He came on when we didn't have a lot of the momentum and the forwards were tired and did his job. Made no errors, threw crisp passes from dummy half (except for one wild one), defended relentlessly and even helped for two errors. Think people are forgetting what a tough position hooker is, especially for a guy who is 20 in his second game of NRL. Remember how average, even bad, Walters and Smoothy look originally? Give him time, he will develop into a great hooker.

Thought Mozer had a solid outing. Like any hooker, it will take him some time to feel super comfortable in attack at the NRL level, but I though he showed great signs defensively. Was involved in 2 tackles when the ball was jolted free and was willing to throw his body in front of anyone. Hopefully he gets another week and is able to build some more confidence at this level.

Cobbo just said he never played fullback as a junior. So all this talk about luring him to another club to play fullback is bs.
Out of all of our upcoming big name FAs, Cobbo is the one I'm least worried about. He's had issues with being homesick in the past and he's from the Cherbourg area around where Pearl is from too. I think Cobbo will follow Pearl's footsteps and stay loyal to the Broncos because it'll be too hard to leave his family for Sydney

so how bad is walsh injury? just unusual he still didnt attend the game? or if he did they did not show him once like they have previously when out injured
Probably best for Reece's safety that he was kept at home.
Imagine the fans if he's sitting down on the bench or even up in the box.
