Maybe Seibs could trot out some Shakespearian tales of woe, juxtaposition and quarrels of war and love to stimulate the boys.
Mmm, maybe but it didn't work last month so I wouldn't be optimistic if he tried it again. I do love a good redemption story though.

I was thinking just the same. Perhaps Pies could recite "sonnet to a double bucket of KFC"

When, in disgrace with fortune and men’s eyes,
I all alone beweep my outcast state,
And trouble deaf heaven with my bootless cries,
And look upon myself and curse my fate,
Wishing me like to one more rich in hope,
Featured like him, like him with friends possessed,
Desiring this man’s art and that man’s scope,
With what I most enjoy contented least;
Yet in these thoughts myself almost despising,
Haply I think on thee, and then my state,
(Like to the lark at break of day arising
From sullen earth) sings hymns at heaven’s gate;
For thy sweet love remembered such wealth brings
That then I scorn to change my state with kings
.

Is there an MRI/X-ray machine at the Clive berghofer centre?
FMD we sure have all the resources.
Too bad we can’t put together a decent football team.

There is, a full Q-Scan office, built into the building. A Radiographer mate of mine has cast his professional eye over it and opines they have a better Radiology setup than the Royal Brisbane Hospital...

Interesting Shakespeare wrote that when theatres closed in England during a severe outbreak of plague ... and we have COVID and Boyd

I found this interesting. Our mental state, it gets put under the blowtorch about half way through the vid. Without resilience we are nothing. Seibold has said the same. Thing is, it is up to him to get the players to believe in themselves, otherwise they will fail until they do, and he will be held responsible rightly or wrongly or a bit of both. Without self belief we will never beat a good side who puts points on us. This is beyond roster changes although some change is needed to help the process.

I wonder if there is a more detailed way to quantify impact to clubs from injury. Not simply the amount of weeks totalled or total number of injured players, but a system that would show the depth of impact.

something that takes into account whether the injured player is a starter, benchy, or depth. Amount of salary cap used on injured players. Whether the injuries resulted in the need for the position to be filled by someone out of their usual position. Career game experience of the injured players. etc etc.

It would be cool to have an in-depth system that could analyse how impacted teams are compared to one another at any given time
or to previous seasons.

I think they only closed the theatres because of low attendance and didn't have the foggiest notion about contagion. Strange parallel that's for sure.

I think Dr Nick Riviera runs our conditioning and injury prevention.
