Reed and Maranta will need to actually do something in defence.

Will be tough, but we should get over them. lol Gidley.

Well Reed could defend elsewhere, and Copley replace him.

He is 4 from 19 against his former sides.

3 wins against the Broncos, 1 win against the Dragons.

Terrible record.

Edit: Forgot his games against the Broncos as Knights coach.

Yeah, not too confident about this one. Pretty sorry looking forward pack and Bennett struggles against previous clubs like crazy.

We'll see a Raiders era Milford performance here. He's playing in a heavily depleted side against an average side without as much expectation on him to pull miracles out of his rear end.

With our likely losses to origin, i would go with a team like this.

1. Kahu
2. Vidot
3. Copley
4. Reed
5. Maranta
6. Milford
7. Hunt
8. Wallace
9. McCullough
10. Blair - but only because our pack has been decimated
11. Glenn (c)
12. Oates
13. Lowrie - with a decimated pack, we need an experienced head that can hold his own defensively.

14. Nikorima
15. Ofahengue
16. Molo
17. Garbutt

I wonder if there's a small chance that Ash Taylor might get a bench spot this week, it's pretty unlikely, but it's an interesting prospect.

1) Nikorima
2) Maranta
3) Reed
4) Copley
5) Kahu
6) Milford
7) Hunt
8) Ofahengaue
9) McCullough
10) Blair
11) Glenn (c)
12) Oates
13) Lowrie

14) Taylor
15) Wallace
16) Molo
17) Arrow

Losing Hodges and Boyd from the backline is the only reason I'm ok with Reed still being in the side.

I think we need to find a better winger than Maranta, but I'm not sure we have one, so since he is very safe he should remain in the side.

Severely concerned about our go forward in this game. Vidot is going to be vital and Blair needs to pull his finger out in a big way. Good chance for someone like Joe to stake a permanent place with a strong game though.

At least I don't have to worry about Oates not touching the ball again.

Vidot seemed to do a huge amount of hit ups on Saturday night.

Maybe this guy should get a go on the bench.

On the cusp: Jaydn S’ua turned in one of the great performances in Holden Cup history against the Cowboys, running for an incredible 280 metres from 23 carries in the Broncos 44-10 win over North Queensland. S’ua crossed for a try, made three line breaks and was credited with a try assist in the victory. A former junior Rugby union star, S’ua is equally comfortable at centre or backrow and has been one of the finds of the season for the ladder leading Broncos.

All good. If you posted Whitchurch in the side then I know for sure you had been hacked. I understand we have to scrape up the Lowries from the barrell during Origin.
