Didn't say it was so Wolfie, just it was a maybe. Perhaps KW might judge such an error more harshly for a player with such a distinguished career.
 
The biggest story here isn't in the halves, it's Corey Oates being dropped

Saab is 8 foot tall (not literally) and one of the quickest wingers in the comp, Oates has the frame a backrower playing out on the wing and doing a satisfactory job most weeks.

He got shown up last week, big deal, he wasn't the only one. Thought Kevvie was a bit harsh there

Oates is a good winger but he is terrible at the one trait all wingers should have and that is Speed and Acceleration, even though Herbie wasn't in the better position Oates was in he kept pace with Saab and if he was the winger there is no way Saab would of got away, that said Oates work in attack especially taking the tough carry's reliving the forwards has to be respected and he didn't deserved to be dropped.

that wasn't necessarily just aimed at you. Its mental because they don't have anyone to win games for them, we got the roots however we have dog shit outside backs apart from Farnworth and Coates but Coates is leaving and he lets more tries in than he scores. They have the mindset of perennial losers and so they should the team really isn't that flattering apart from our forward pack and theirs no one off the back of that to fix our team. compare these two teams:

Like I reiterate that's 2 signings... 2!!! that we can definitely afford and we know they are both very achievable and very possible, Suliasi is to some reporters already signed so an additional 1 signing. To me it's a no brainer to make those 2 signings. We become a good side just like that and I'd hate to waste that opportunity and find ourselves in a years time doing shit still and Kevvies got the boot and find ourselves with Paul Green as our coach when realistically this side their is top 6 and if staggs does well at 6 we could genuinely win the comp so I think they are no brainer signings

and then some lesser known sources have said its very likely and to be honest players talk more and reveal more to these blokes cause their not absolute ass holes that will turn on them for clicks like Badel and co.
 
Kevvie's a bit too trigger happy with dropping blokes for my liking but having said that.. how Jordan Riki hasn't been dropped yet has me done

He has hands like feet and some of his efforts in defense have been just as bad
 
Oates unfortunately doesn't seem capable of doing much except working the ball out on tackle 1/2. Poor hands, poor turning circle and his finishing has seemingly gone down the drain too.

I love the bloke and he's got a great attitude but he's not good enough, like even david mead got run metres and he is way more likely to take a high ball, score a try or even not get gassed by every second winger

I think Corey has taken some tough, tough runs for us at times. I just think its harsh on him. He hasnt done a lot wrong tbh and its not like we have created much for him in an attacking sense.

Not good enough based on what? on last week? none of our 17 were good enough

Against Penrith he was huge, against the Titans he took an intercept that another winger probably doesn't take and if the Titans score there it's a different ball game

Can't be judged on one game, it's not fair on him
 
I wonder if Oates has a niggling injury we are keeping quiet. because he wasn't even named in the 21

its not its on the last 3 fucken years and I'm sick and tired of everyone being satisfied with mediocrity. We got one of the best forward packs in the game next year we will have a far improved spine and then at this rate shithouse outside backs, it needs to change we need a new winger alongside Isaako is pointless on the wing if we don't have a competent winger on the other side who takes the 1st or 2nd hit up out of our own end (which Oates can do but that's all he can do) and we can actually rely on under the high ball, his pace, athleticism and finishing which has not been unto scratch for ages now, next year and our side will be amazing if we can get a better winger. I guarantee you

Just because we got toweled up last week doesn't make him a shit winger, Corey Oates would be a first choice winger for a lot of clubs in the NRL

He has played origins, scored tries in bucket loads at times, made some big carries, some big defensive plays, he does everything you'd want a top quality winger to do, spare me this bullshit about being shit for the last 3 years. We have many of players who have been shit, he ain't one of them

Oates hasn’t had good ball since prime Boyd put it on a platter for him.
