The Dale I saw was very reminiscent from the last time I saw him in a Brisbane jersey. Dropping balls....slipping over.....generally unco-ing it up all over the place.
I didn't see the final 10 mins....fucken Fox replay.

I'm amazed that we actually adapted to the bullshit high contact rules better than the Roosters. I'm not sold on our halves at all still, but our forwards were massive.

Kelly plays a lot like Corey Norman at 5/8. I liked how he bounce back from that bad kick.
Tyson definitely is a hot head but a binning with the game decided after that kind of performance I can forgive. Likewise with lodge (an obvious square up if ever I saw one from the ref).
Whilst it was disappointing they let in the tries they did in that 1st half, the second half was truly impressive.
Simple game plan, strong defence and a good start from Kelly. Let's repeat that a few times.
I listened to fox blokes on kayo. Are they all roosters life members or what?

I have to give Walker some credit. He was getting smashed and still kept getting up and coming back for more.

Was around 3 minutes in to the second half he tried to feign a bit of a head knock or something if I remember rightly and had a little chuckle.

I am going to state what I see as glaringly obvious. Milford drags this team down. They don't seem like they want to play with him. For what reason I don't know. Whether they think he doesn't play to his pay and it passes them off ornot I dunno. They seem to play with a lot more heart when he isn't playing

That was a bit of a joke game. The sin bins were rubbish, but they also weren't consistent. Manu did the same thing Lodge did, and he did it twice, without being put in the bin.

Lodge and TPJ absolutely carried us to that win, was good to see TPJ actually play smart under pressure and he made the Roosters target him and give up errors.

I’m almost never right, so I’m just going to leave this here from the pre-game thread.

I’d really like to see TPJ test out Walker’s shoulders, let him know there is more to NRL than throwing highlight reel, long looping cutout passes.

On that, I’d also like to see either of our tall wingers intercept at least one of them and run the length. Ideally to ice the game.
