Round 12 - Broncos vs. Warriors - Post Match Discussion

Scott Anderson wasn't missing them because he wasn't getting there. I hope he is not one of the rumored resignings

This 100000%. this ****es me off, we don't spend ****. We obviously aren't spending **** on scouting or coaches, let alone players. I remember an interview a while ago with some high up broncos official, maybe Bruno Cullen and he said that if their was no salary cap then the Australian team would be running out in maroon and gold every week. Well theres no salary cap for coaches, no salary cap for scouting.
That's rubbish, the club spends over a million a year on epd program.

You could spend 100 million on support staff and it wouldn't have made any difference tonight, they aren't the ones out on the field missing tackles.

Yet another expert who can't see that the pathetic staff are a symptom of a club culture in decline. Time to clean out from the top down. White, Griffin, Gee. That's a start

Expert? You're the one claiming to have all the answers.

Cull 'em all, sick of this jobs for the boys bullshit.

Answers? No. But none of the dickheads at the club have any answers either. EDIT BAITING, all these absolutely useless players we persevere with.

Unless there are changes, we are bound for bottom half of the ladder for years to come

Becoming a transit lounge is hardly consistent with the Broncos culture either.

Well, that was brutal and I was stupid enough to suggest that the Broncos would win tonite, blind faith has always been a character flaw of mine. It's not the loss that irritates me, it was the nature of it, make no mistake, every Bronco gave it 100% tonite and that is what is so disturbing, they were trampled on and if this is the future, then I won't be needing my shades for quite some time.

Firstly the positives, Jack Reed had a good game, Princey tried his hardest and showed some flare at times, Norman had his usual topsy turvy game but if not for him, the Broncos would never score a try, Hala had some good hit ups but ran out of puff in the second half, Hoffman was strong with limited chances, Wally provided faster service out of dummy half but Granville would have done better.

Ben Hunt continues to be a laughing stock and his 2 year contract extension was a master stroke, Macca was a speed bump all nite long and doesn't belong in the 17, Slyney, Dodds, Lui all gave it their best but r only consistent Q cup players at best, Whitchurch had a rough outing but hope to see him again. Overall, a shocking nite for a team which contains a roster which is the weakest in their proud history.

5-7 now with a for and against now shot to shit, sinking fast seemingly with no way out and a date in Canberra next Mon nite against a side known for piling up big scores on their home turf, won't be wearing my shades.

Everyone on here was praising the positional changes...McCullough has to be our hooker. We looked so much better in attack with Wallace at 2nd receiver, he's not a hooker. McCullough was just lost in the back row.

Anyone thinking Norman is he Shit is full of Shit. He stands 50 metres back, can't catch a bomb was the reason the warriors scored tries with short kicks. The guy is useless. #getridofnormannow

Good to see Mateo and Locke had one of their rare good games against us and now they are world beaters. Those 2 players wouldn't make a difference at our club at this point.

We would have gotten flogged even with our origin players. Its only 4 players. In the past we provided 6-7 players to origin and have never been flogged like this.

We are only a qcup side at best. Not nrl standard. The warriors are running last and had 60 put on them 2 weeks ago. Yet they put 60 on us.

Begin rant ...

5 players out - you forgot Hannant. No, 6. Kemp as well. Whitchurch? Good grief.

Wallace and Prince must be our halves. We need to build around them for the rest of the season and stop all the stupid changes. Macca and Granville at dummy half as well. No "x" factors there but solid team players who at least know how to play as halves and experienced hookers. Change next year by all means.

Hunt for mine has now had enough chances to show he needs to re-learn his role as a half in reserves. He is not a patch on Prince as a half.

The Warriors on paper are a bloody great side and our 2nd string outfit and woeful play let them get some good practice. On paper, and based on their last 2 performances, I can see them beating any side if they turn up to play. Somehow I think they will for the rest of 2013.

We keep scoring terrific tries - now and then. However, we don't have a true leader and organizer on field to keep it regular and togethrer - a major problem which won't go away until it's fixed, and we won't threaten the top sides without one

Teaching effective defence is schoolboy stuff. Both coaching staff AND players are responsible for putting in: line speed AND making a tackle properly. We are utter failures most of the time here. Last night we virtually gave the ball and acres of space to Johnson, Locke and co and said "here - have some fun boys ...".

Hook is not the only one to take responsibility. Each and every NRL player knows the ropes or they wouldn't have got this far. Trouble is, they don't put in 110% and the ropes have become a noose. This is the Broncos FFS!

Norman again shows he is way too slow to play at the back but there is no option other than to drop him which won't happen. Fancy not running down the beast!

Back to basics. The whole squad needs to sit down and watch endless replays of how the top sides do it, and what is required of an NRL player and NRL team and most important of all, what it means to be a Bronco.

end of rant ....

My expectations are dramatically lowered for the rest of this year.

Through the middle we got turnstyled. I guess missing 5 forwards against a side missing none who traditionally have a massive forward pack might be an excuse.

What's wrong with this team?

Norman has to go, tomorrow. After Reed's break he kicks it away when we have 4 on 1.

Hunt definitely needs to go to qld cup if the club thinks he has a future in the halves. Unfair to him and us to expect him to go from bench hooker to halfback. We were just rabble last night. Defence was non existent in the middle of the field.

It gets worse. .Ben hunt resigned for 2 years. . Couldn't place a bomb if his life defended on it!.
