Round 12 - Broncos vs. Warriors - Post Match Discussion

If it weren't for hints kicks, a few bad ref decisions and a few unlucky bounces we could have won that game.

If ifs and buts were candy and nuts.

We got fucking flogged and deserved it.

End of story, good day sir.

You're the one trying to make something out of nothing, just because your feelings for Kemp got hurt, so you decided to make something up to soothe your manlove for him.

It's called speculation, and it was implying discord between Kemp and the rest of the player's group. It's a pretty serious accusation to throw around based on absolutely nothing and backed by absolutely nonexistent evidence or even rumours.

I am not sure what is going on here, so I'm just going to leave this alone.

I will comment on the Kemp thing, yes I do have a man crush on Kemp. I'm not embarrassed to admit it.

What I find perplexing is that in the last 20 minutes we really opened up and looked more penetrative in attack. Hala wouldn't even run into the defence, he'd do nothing but run to the line and pass like Tolman. McGuire was basically mirroring James Graham and all our forwards were passing at line. Sure we lost it going too far with the offloading and shit but why the **** can't we look to play that at 8-8 instead of 58-8.

Very good question. We have the forwards to play that type of style as well. Seems crazy that we aren't playing to our strengths.

Well, there's nobody on field with any authority, vision, credibility who leads and leads by example.

That would be a great start ... starting 2 years ago with the right player(s) to replace Lockyer

Yeah, that style is really our best option. It's hides a lot of the problems a side may have, most importantly the terrible halves (like with us and the Doggies). It's funny because we've looked far better in the 100 or so total minutes we've used it in the last 2 years than pretty much any other time.

it is no surprise that the top four teams in the comp have the two origin #7's and the two "next-in-line" #7's, and aside from pearce (who is made up for by maloney) all of their kicking games are fantastic.

until we have a real leader in the halves and/or hooker we will continue to struggle when it comes to the crunch no matter how many 'stars' we put in the outside backs.

I'm so disappointed with the development of McCullough. He really hasn't improved his game. You know most of our players haven't improved of late. Development seems to be a real issue at the club.

yeah alot of those guys who came through at the same time glenn macca gillett hunt etc dont seem any better than they were 2-3 years ago.

In 2011 I was excited for the future with all our young guys going well who I thought would get better. It unfortunately hasn't turned out that way.

One positive to take out of this game would be that at least none of our players look directly into the camera and blow kisses whenever they score a try, it's seriously the worst post-try celebration I've ever seen. It doesn't make me angry just ashamed for him and his entire family. Can you imagine if Lockyer blew kisses into the camera whenever he crossed the line? I know he didn't score much towards the end of his career but it's still a funny sight to imagine.

Probably because we'd need to score tries in order to celebrate them.

Wow, lighten up, its just a player having some fun and enjoying the game they play whilst probably sending a message to loved ones back home.

Nah I still don't like it, it's fine if you do though. You could always catch some and put them in your pocket for later.

Lol, aww, were you not hugged enough as a child?

I like post try celebrations as long as they're respectful.
