I dont think its a fair criticism in the first half. We got pinned back with that run where we had all those 6 agains against us and we defended superbly. We just never really recovered from that and second half we got dominated.

I actually thought it was the opposite. The Talakai try happened before Cronulla received all that possession and you could make a list of all the feeble efforts in defence from the Broncos. However Cronulla attacking on the red-zone never looked confident and the Broncos to their credit came up with some great efforts to deny them.

After being denied all those tackles and giving away the penalty you could see the wind go out of their sails. Then Madden sets up that flukey try and Brisbane weren't far off from extending that lead going into the break.

In the end half-time was the worst thing that happened because the Sharks had so much more improvement in them, meanwhile Brisbane were a spent force.

If you held others to the same standards i might take you a bit more seriously. He pretty much made one error tonight and didnt do a whole lot wrong otherwise, although he didnt have a huge impact on the game either.

Compare that to our other backline players. Kotoni did some good stuff and some dumb stuff. Selwyn was invisible. Sailor was poor in pretty much every aspect and Mariner wasnt far behind either. But of course, that doesnt suit the agenda.

Our forward depth is pretty poor to begin with, but even with our best lineup our pack has no intimidation about it, it’s become very tradesman like.

For sure, last year our forwards were bullying teams into submission. It's looking like perhaps we have made some poor recruitment decisions.

I get the criticism of him because he isnt the player he was, not by a long way and at full strength i dont think i'd pick him, but he's not been as poor as some people are making out. He's just a convenient scapegoat.

We played maybe 20 mins of sort of decent footy.....the rest was complete shit.

Shit, I'd even take Israel Leota. If the position is going to be targeted, error prone and exposed as a major weakness - at least put a player there who might surprise us with the odd standout performance.

Yeah Oates wasn't the worst out there at all tonight. In fact he carried the ball well I thought.

If Walsh was there tonight it would have been a different outcome. I can't be as harsh on sailor even though he was putrid at times. First game back from injury and has not trained.

Fletcher baker was totally shocking tonight. I don't see how such a big guy can get monstered so badly in every hitup
