I get the criticism of him because he isnt the player he was, not by a long way and at full strength i dont think i'd pick him, but he's not been as poor as some people are making out. He's just a convenient scapegoat.
Please explain the tap back. The game was on a knife's edge and he taps the ball back, 10m out from our line, with one bronco behind him and a half dozen sharks charging through. Please explain that to me so I can understand.

The dropping it cold on tackle one, after defending 3 sets is a bad error, but they happen. The tap back though. I'd have benched him for that alone.

I’m frustrated as hell in the loss but in the end it was on the back of 2 very poor errors that they got tries from. Our general defence was good but our line speed and first contact is diabolical. I don’t think it’s as bad as it seems but we must win next week otherwise we’re looking at 5 losses on the trot.

Its really not rocket science. Would you have rather he tried to take the high ball under a lot of pressure when he hasnt got the best hands as it is ( which you would probably have wanted so you could have a dig at him again if he dropped it ) , or just play it safe and tap it back to a player with nobody on him. Hardly Oates fault Sailor made a mess of it.

As for his dropped ball, plenty of players dropped ball tonight, but you focus on one player. That hardly seems like an objective opinion.

Letting Capewell go a year early has come back to bite Kevvie on the ass.
Probably not a Kevvie decision. Would have been one made by Capewell first and foremost.

I don’t know how you look at that game and put the loss down to some errors in the second half, that’s blaming the symptom, not the disease. We spent the first half trapped in our 30m & apart from a couple of long range try’s we didn’t fire a shot. I fully expected us to get run over in the second half, errors or not.

he's a winger, literally his job to catch those. Like, one of the primary responsiblities.

The tap back, put Sailer under pressure who bottled it. The ball though, from a tap back could have done anything. It could have landed on it's point and wrong footed Sailer and they are in to score.

That's rookie level dumb. Like seriously fucking dumb.

Badly lacking in confidence. This season is cooked.

I don’t have the answers to fix it but when individual errors are costing us points consistently then what can Kev do about that? First half wasn’t too bad, we defended really well. Just didn’t come out for the 2nd half.

These blokes need a couple of leaders out there, let’s get a bit grubby, it’s all too soft. I didn’t mind Staggs having a go at the end there, shows he cares a bit. But I want to see that from the first minute.

There’s lots of talented boys out there, just waiting for them to become men.

Opps...musta missed that one.

Still....it wasn't his worst game and for now, he aint the problem.

He's a stop gap right now, and you are right, he wasnt a huge problem tonight.

And for all the people having a go at him, he actually took a financial hit to help out the Broncos free up some cap space. Not something i've seen some of our bigger contracted players do.
