Tapping back a bomb is what you do when you're in the opposition's attack zone, not 10m out from your own line. It was a dumb play. You hardly ever see defenders do that.

There were worse players last night but Oates has had a bad bunch of games and it's mostly due to him being slow. Remember the time he couldn't keep up with the play and cost us a try? What about the titans game two weeks ago where any other winger would have scored to win but Oates was caught because he's slow.

I can cope with a young player making mistakes but someone who is at the tail end of his career playing like this needs to be dropped.

You lost me at why they allowed Willison being there for the birth of his child. Even if she had a healthy birth days ago and he wanted to be there for the first few days, that’s more important than what footy will ever be in their lives.

He wasn't at the birth. The kids was born. I get 2 weeks off and then go back to working 6 days a week for a 10th of their income. Ive known dozens of people who have went straight back to work hours later, or at least within a day or 2. He's probably already had a week off with them and is playing in brisbane for a few hours.

If it's the ACTUAL birth I apologise of course, wouldn't ask ANYONE to miss that. But if the kids born it's a completely different story...

Last night showed why no NRL clubs are trying to get Sailor. Isn’t quick, doesn’t have fancy footwork, and is just not a threat to the line.

Sailor made a few errors, but I have to congratulate him for even being able to take the field so soon after surgery. His first take of the game he was tackled while still in the air and nothing said by the ref FFS! Way to ruin a guy's confidence in the ref - ref!

Our whole back five last night let our forwards down with their meagre carries from our own end. Having said that Jensen, Haas and Paddy tried their hearts out the rest of the forwards were rank rotten. Piakura was especially disappointing taking a dummy as the soft option every time it seems. Aside from one line break he did sweet **** all for the rest of the game. For the cash he is on he needs to have a good look at himself. Riki did at least try but his efforts were half-hearted as well. I refuse to discuss the rest of them as they were a frikkin disgrace to the jersey.

That defensive effort on our line for 5 sets of six was a good sign to build on, but it gassed the lot of them for the rest of the game. What they are lacking is leadership. There is just not enough cohesion but again, if you need to have someone shouting in your ear to do your fukkin job, you are deadset kiddin yourself.

I don't know what is going on with Hetherington, but he is a shadow of himself at the minute. It's like they don't want to get injured or don't want to put in the effort. His defence used to sting now all it does is frustrate the fans as he's turned into an arm grabber. In fact the whole team have resorted to catch and hold tackling and we had one point where we had four in a tackle and the Sharks player still managed to offload. Can we see a bit of shoulder action please! Bend the back FFS! and stop being dominated.

Mam is also deadset kiddin himself, he's more about looking cool on and off the field than actually putting in a shift. He failed to make a break against some of the slowest moving forwards in the comp last night, and Cobbo was there in body but not in heart and soul. He had nothing to offer after a huge shift on Wednesday night.

On this form we will struggle to pick any more points during origin. Let's hope to hell we can switch on to last year's form after we get origin out of the way and get a settled backline. Kevvie says he has no answers, well my answer is to demand they start doing their job. They are supposed to be elite NRL players FFS! Hold the pill, sort out your line speed and make your tackles. It's the basics that they can't even execute. That's not on Kevvie, that's a team attitude that needs to be sorted. Paddy needs to start holding bludgers to account.
