Oh I definitely do and Im saying we are way too reliant on them to have any sort of sustained success. Look at the likes of the Panthers and the Storm, they have systems and structures to allow the next man up to slot in and fill a gap

Even so, this "next man up" deal sort of goes out the window when you start missing 2 of your spine.

Penrith got done by St George without Cleary and Edwards, I'd have them on par with us without Reynolds and Walsh.

Melbourne have 4 genuine elite spine players, they can be without 2 and still beat most sides. Much easier to adopt the next man up mentality when that next man isn't being heavily relied on to come up with the big plays to score points.

The infuriating thing is that Madden has those kicks in his locker, he has used them before.
He used one tonight and Latrell didn't want a bar of it... good choice to never go back to it again

I’m really concerned that Madden is the future after ARey, this game was so bad I don’t know what else to say.

Haven’t watched the game but can only assume we’ve imploded and it’s all down hill from here

Hold the ball, build pressure
-Kevin Walters

he’s right this is what we have to go back to but why aren’t we seeing it
It's his team. He bought Lee Briers in to be an unseen within the NRL of an attacking onslaught. No team, could handle Lee Briers mastermind. Attack, attack, don't worry about any other aspects of the game.

Kevin Walter's pushed all his chips in. I'm all in Briers.

Risking talking about positives, but if I put a trigger warning it should be fine, I assume?

I thought Karapani looked dangerous tonight, always a handful to bring down. Very happy to have him first drop in the backs when we're full strength one through five.

Are the players smart enough to have a system not built around a Reynolds?

Feel like we've had the dumbest squad for a long time... pack of athletes and not enough footballers

Exactly. EXACTLY the problem. We way too often pick talent over brains.

Joey had such a hard on for a send off. He's still burning from Origin 1.

'If he'd stayed down...' What are you implying, Joey, that Walsh foxed unconsciousness?
Sounds like Riki will be fine. Murray said it more hit him in the chest.

He was great and so was Willison. I think Karapani cant catch or pass though, they are trying to hide it a bit on the field.

Johns wrote an article that goes against what he said in the heat of the moment during the broadcast:

What he was getting at tonight was that Riki only got 10 because Arrow was relatively ok.
